The ruler of Ifite with his Seers and the brave men that accompanied them to the camp of the Dark Men Of Ifite were on their way returning. The Great Seer was riding beside the ruler as he commended him for his speech at the camp. "You did great. The Dark Men are loyal to you till to end of time"
"The road to Anani will be smooth for them. The gods of Ifite will guide them. Their loyalty means a lot to me and to Ifite for they fight more than any other specie in Ifite"
"Fear not. They must have reached Anani by now and the witches will fortify them for what is coming" said the Great Seer.
"What about this Dan and Adola? I heard you say something about them when you were addressing the Dark Men. You said they are already in our land and they pose a great threat. Are you afraid of him?" the ruler asked.
"Of who?" asked The Seer.
"Of Dan" said the ruler.
"I am the great seer with no hands. My grand father said that upon my preparation to arrive on earth through my mother's womb where I stayed for a year and six months I lent my hands to a god who needed them to fight other gods. He said that a god is using my hands in the spiritual realm. If I lent my hands to a god what do you think he will be doing for me in return for such generosity?" asked the Seer.
The ruler sighed. "Of course the god will be protecting you beyond barriers" said the ruler.
"And I will be protecting Ifite while you will be leading them to victory. Fear not for the journey of Ifite to glorious destination just began" concluded the Seer and the ruler's hope was raised and they continued to match home to the palace of Ifite.
************
In the road leading to Anani, The Dark Men of Ifite were in their thousands. Most of them were riding on their horses while others were foot soldiers chanting solidarity war song. This song ignited passion and desire for blood as most of them threw their swords in the air and danced. It was a glorious sight, watching the Dark Men display their desire to fight. Most of their leaders were not making a noise like the rest as they lead the way to Anani, to meet with the witches for their blessings and fortifications.
************
The ruler of Ifite with his Seer and his men were still on their way home when suddenly a bird flew over the Seer's head and he asked the ruler to stop riding immediately. He told the rest to stop. The ruler stopped the horse and the seer dismounted and slowly closed his eyes. After sometimes he opened them and told the ruler that someone was approaching them. Immediately he said this the men with them drew their well sharpened swords and rounded the ruler and his seer up in an attempt to protect them from any incoming danger.
"What do you mean?" asked the ruler.
"There is someone coming towards us and for me to feel him this strongly he must not just be an enemy but someone so powerful. I do not have my mirror with me here I would have checked the face of the person" the seer said.
Just then there were two horses riding towards them. The ruler immediately commanded his men to charge for defence or for attack. The men charged with a solidarity roar, pointing their swords towards the two strangers approaching with speed. Soon the two strangers reached where they were and remained seated on their horses.
"Who are you and what do you want here?" asked the ruler.
"Is is not a free world. I can be anywhere I wish to be" answered one of the strangers.
"This land belongs to Ifite. Tell me who you are and go your way at once" commanded the ruler.
One of the strangers dismounted his horse and began to approach. The men with the ruler stopped him and he said, "How come you have been monitoring my coming and when I finally came you can't recognise me?" asked the stranger.
The Seer of Ifite began to suspect the stranger. Let it not be whom he was imagining him to be. Just then the ruler said a word that raised the eyebrows of the men with him. "Dan?"
"Yes, that is my name" said Dan and Adola dismounted from his horse immediately.
"Attack!!!" shouted the king and the men with him began to attack Dan and Adola. The Seer stepped back a bit and began to command fire from the skies. The ruler of Ifite mounted his horse and began to ride away. "I am not prepared for this" He road away.
**************
The ruler of Ifite reached his palace and dismounted immediately, running into his chamber to pick his enchanted sword. He searched for it and finally found it, dashed out and mounted the horse once again. He bellowed and a hundred of his men in the palace mounted their horses too and followed their commander at once. They road through the forest and headed back to the place where Dan and Adola were fighting with the Seer of Ifite and his men. When they reached there they could not see anyone. The ruler dismounted from his horse and was looking round when someone from the trees jumped down on him and the rest recognised him as one of the Dark Men that was initially sent to go and hinder Dan and Adola from entering Ifite. The remaining Dark Man with Dan also flew down from another tree and began to fight the men with the ruler. The Dark Men fought like ghosts and the ruler knew that if he didn't make use of his enchanted sword he and his men would be dead before evening. He raised the sword in the sky and called the name of the Seer of Ifite and the sword caught fire. He ran forward to the two Dark Men and upon reaching them they were seized where they stood and the ruler ran the both of them through with the sword. The two Dark Men laid dead before him and the flame on the sword of the ruler died down. The men with him began to praise him by throwing their sword in the air.
Before them was the Seer, who had appeared to warn them. "Let us leave here immediately" he said as he made his way to where the ruler was standing.
"What happened to the rest. I left to get my enchanted sword" explained the ruler.
Dan and Adola are demons in human flesh. I managed to escape with my disappearing spirit" said the seer.
"What about the rest of the men we were riding home with?" asked the ruler.
"They were dead before you reached the palace for this sword" said the seer.
"And their corpses?" asked the ruler once more.
"Look up" said the seer and the ruler looker up to see the bodies of the men hanging upside down on the trees and their blood dropping. "We have to leave here at once" the seer added. They all mounted their horses and rode off.
************
At Anani, the mother witch was addressing all the witches in Anani as they were gathered to listen to what she had to say. After she was done greeting them she called up her son, Yama and Yama approached her and stood beside her. She held him by the shoulder and introduced him as the future father witch of Anani. The witches were confused, some were angry while others felt insulted.
"Is this a joke?" asked one of the witches.
"This is blasphemy" said another.
"This is insulting" said another.
"We have never had a witch father before, not on the record from the day of the existence of the witch folk. We must not pay attention to this utterance" said another.
The witch mother smiled at their murmuring and one of the witches stepped forward. "Mother witch, with due respect we the witches do not even regard our male counterparts as witches for their powers are little and their courage is even less. Aside that we have never, in the history of the witches had any male regarded as a witch let alone as a father witch to the witches. What will he be teaching us? how to make pap by looking for stones to make the fire?"...
The rest laughter and the witch continued. I can use my eyes to burn down a house. What can he do? what can he teach us? We are sorry but we don't want your son to be the next ruler of the witches after you resign" the witch bowed and the rest clapped in support of what she said.
The mother witch smiled again. One of the witches stepped forward and bowed before the mother and said, "We are aware of your love for Yama but Yama isn't as gifted as you are. He does not know the secret behind the powers of the witches. He does not know the law guiding the powers of the witches. He knows little and we can't jeopardise the future of our daughters by allowing a male to father them. You all know what I'm talking about. We can't allow your son to father us let alone our children. So we want you to tell us something else mother" the witch bowed and the rest clapped again.
The witch mother stepped forward and said, "my son Yama will be the next ruler of the witches after me and so shall it be. Nothing will stop it and no one can stop it. You all should start now to accept it or you will be forced to" said the mother witch. This utterance of the mother witch aggravated the rest of the witches and they showed their anger. One of them stepped forward and stood in front for the mother witch.
"We don't want to force you either to stop what you are doing now mother witch. We don't want to fight you" said the witch.
"You won't be fighting me. You will be obeying him" said the mother witch, referring to her son and the rest of the witches began to laugh.
"Mother witch" began another. "We love you but if you must force our hands we will remove you from your position and put another, but if you push us too far we might be forced to kill you"
The Mother Witch then decided that it was no longer time for words but for action.
