Ring Of Fire 19

In the land of Ifite, the ruler was restless inside his shrine and his Seer was seated beside him. The ruler paced for a while and was asked to sit and calm himself by his Seer. "I cannot sit and calm myself. You just saw what happened? The lady with him is not ordinary. She closed her eyes and defeated the lion you sent towards them. Are you sure it was a good idea telling the king of Randa not to worry? Because I am worried and words should be sent to him at once" "My lord, when did you become a fearful bird? I thought you rule Ifite?; a land that is the most feared in the world. We are not known for defeat. This one too shall pass" he said and took his eyes back on the mirror that he had been using to monitor Dan and Adola. "When?" asked the ruler. "Very soon. the Dark Men we sent to end their lives are already there with them. Soon all your fears will be gone" Said the Seer. "The Dark Men serve other gods in Ifite. I never bought the idea of sending the Dark Men. You have seen what the two are capable of. I reserve my fears until they come through" said the ruler. The Seer stood slowly and turned to face the ruler before saying, "What scared me is not the two from Randa. What scares me is not the destiny Dan carries but the fearful look in the face of a man that has gone to numerous wars and defeated so many kingdoms with me on his side. You have never been filled with so much doubts before. What is happening to you?" asked the Seer. The ruler sat and sighed. "I'm surprised myself, but I'm fine. I feel we should gather the Ifite people and tell them to remove their minds from evil. The god of destiny is the god above all other gods. He is the one sending The Chosen one; one who will bring light to the world and to Randa in particular. I want peace to rain" The Seer paced and stopped in front of him. "You have grown too soft and I know the remedy for that" he said and brought out a powdered substance and blew it on his face. The ruler immediately dosed off and opened his eyes almost at the same time. He robbed his face, looked at the Seer and said, "Where are we in preparation to eradicate the threat that is heading to our land?" The ruler asked. The Seer nodded and sat back on his usual seat and said, "Now I have you back" ************** At the cliff top, Adola and Dan were ready to face the Dark Men from Ifite. Adola was becoming ready for the journey and this was another obstacle she must deal with. She closed her eyes again but one of the Dark Men threw his spear at her and it was Dan who saved her life by pushing her to the ground. Adola's eyes were fixed on Dan who was still standing. "You had better stop playing god. You can't be lucky all the time" Dan spoke and began to pray in his heart. He prayed to the god of destiny for strength and victory. Just then the Dark Men began to dismount from the horses and began to draw their swords from their sheaths. Dan picked Adola's sword and armed himself in both hands. Adola stood and watched while Dan advanced towards them. The sky became blue instantly and thunder blasted the sky. Adola looked up and said in whisper, "The gods are with him" The battle that ensued was the greatest Adola had ever witnessed in her life. Dan fought for the first time since she left Randa with him. He was like someone who was possessed by the demons of battle. He fought like an invincible god and the Dark Men of Ifite could not comprehend it. This minute he is beside one of them butchering him and the next second he is with another slicing his throat. Blood splattered and vultures danced in the air. Thunder blasted and the land of the dead rejoiced. It was remaining Two of the Dark Men when Dan stopped and faced them. The two looked around them and already knew what would be their fate if they insisted and fought. They looked at each other and without a word dropped their swords and bowed before Dan Anoshi. Dan approached them and stood right in front of them and said, "Who sent you?" The two looked at each other and Dan spoke again, "If you must look at each other before you answer my question it means you both aren't loyal to me yet. Answer me!!!" he shouted angrily and one of the men spoke with a shaky voice, "my lord, the ruler of Ifite is afraid of you. He sent us against you" Dan turned to look at Adola and said, "Did you hear that. Have you now understood our mission in life? Our mission is to stop the greatest land of evil from existing. Our mission is to go to the land of Ifite" He said and began to wall back to where Adola was standing and mounted his horse. "Pick your own horse. The two will ride with us. You are second in command and they answer to you" Adola sighed heavily and to Dan's surprise she knelt before him and said, "I'm loyal Sir, to you and to your cause. I will follow till the end" Dan smiled and she picked her sword and matched to the two Dark Men of Ifite who were still kneeling and said to them, "Rise and ride with us" "Yes Mistress" they responded. She mounted her horse and so did the two. They sped off. *********** The king of Randa was restless where he was. He rose and paced. After a while he sat and said, "There is a power that governs the earth yet these two are heading safely to destroy it" he raised up his face and his eyes and the eyes of the ghost of Adola's mother came to meet. He was startled as he covered both eyes with her palms. Adola's mother began to laugh at him. She continued to laugh and the more she laughed the more the King's ears were about to burst. He covered his ears tightly and screamed. The palace attendants came rushing in, accompanied by the palace guards. This distraction did not chase Adola's mother's spirit off as she kept laughing. At a point she stopped and began to speak, "A king is afraid of the evil he had committed are coming back to hunt him" she continued until the king couldn't bear it any longer. He asked to be taken away from the throne room. The palace attendants took him out of there and they stepped outside. But while outside and right there at the center of the gate was Adola's mother again, this time the sword would she died from was fresh on her. The king fell down on his kneels and cried bitterly while Adola's mother continued to laugh. "I am Prophetess Achada, daughter of prophetess Ibaza, I am the great prophetess of Randa and I will remain so even in death" she disappeared. The king sat on the floor and after a while she sighed deeply and shouted, "Gather every soldier in Randa soil and let us prepare for war. We head to support Ifite against Adola and Dan Anoshi or whatever they call him" The palace began preparations at once. At the chamber of the ruler of Ifite, the Seer had had enough of the disgraceful defeat Dan and Adola were dishing out to them. He rose from his seat and said to the ruler of Ifite, "Enough of this. I have seen enough. Now this boy heading here is prepared. He has turned the remaining two Dark Men of Ifite sent against him against us and he is heading towards here with them. This is our home! Ifite is our home and we are not going to be afraid of some intruder. He will regret ever allowing the god of destiny deceive him. Gather all the Dark Men of Ifite and tell your generals to send for the witches of Anani. Anani was a neighboring town of Ifite and only witches lived there. Anani was a land that belonged to Ifite and so the witches there support the ifites in times of war. When the Mother witch received the invitation she sat and laughed. "The Ifites only know how to mess up while we are always left with no other choice but to clean it for them" she laughed and handed the letter to her son. The son took hold of the letter and read through it, running his long fingers through it as he read. After a while he stopped and looked at his mother, saying, "Did you read the last part?" he asked. "I don't need to read the last part. I read the beginning and I know what they want from us; our magical assistance" she said and laughed. The son sat slowly without saying a word. The mother noticed his countenance and said, "And why are you frowning your face son?" she asked. "I don't think this is an assistance request we must grant" he said and began to blink his eyes severally. "What do you mean son?" asked the mother witch as she noticed something amiss. The son stood up. His name was Yama. He went closer to his mother and handed the letter to her. "please read the last part" he said. The mother took her eyes down to the last part and immediately let go of the letter to the floor. The son then went back to reoccupy his seat. "You see? we can't grant their request. We should not be involved in this" said the son. Soon, one of the witches entered and stood before the mother witch saying, "Mother witch, something has come up" she said. The mother witch raised up her head to look at her and the witch continued, "The Seer Witches are here to give you a message" "let them in" said the mother witch. The witch went outside and shortly after she returned with the Witch Seers. The Witch Seers were threw in numbers and they had staffs that looked the same. One of them stepped forward and said to the mother witch. "You are the leader of the witches but you must learn to listen to and learn to obey the voice of the witch god. There is a message you received; an invitation from Ifite; asking for your assistance. You and we know you can't grant that request. You can't be involved in the affairs of the god of destiny. His powers and authority extends to every part of the world. We can't attract his wrath upon ourselves by aiding a town he has prepared to destroy through his chosen one; Dan" "But the land we live in belongs to the Ifites. If they are defeated it will affect us" said the mother witch. "it won't, it won't affect us. The gods are no fools. They know who have offended them. We can't keep involving ourselves with the affairs of the Ifites. Let them bury themselves" concluded the Witch Seers before they greeted the mother witch and left. The Mother Witch sighed and spoke to the witch that brought in the Witch Seers, "I will listen to the Witch Seers and not go to war for the Ifites" ********* In Randa, thousands of soilders had gathered at the meeting camp, chanting war songs and waiting for their king. Shortly the King emerged from inside his tent and stood before them, fully dressed in his amour. Raising his sword up in the air he screamed. "To the honor of Ifite!!!"
