Everyone in the room looked around with bewilderment. How the hell did she get here so fast and without the guards catching her? Just as we were about to speak, there was a knock on the door. Uncle Nate went to open the door.
“Sorry to disturb you, Alpha, but we got a report of an intruder.” One of the guards at the door said.
“It’s fine, Jack.”
“Just making sure after what happened with Beta Vincent’s daughter.”
“Thank you. I assure you everything is alright. This visitor is welcome here. We were not expecting the visit so soon though.”
“Yes, Alpha. I will be here if you need me.” Uncle Nate nodded as he closed the door. He went back to his chair next to Aunt Nicole.
“Evelyn, why are you here?” mom asked.
