The ray of sunlight shone directly into the room and landed on Alita's face making her to groan a little.
She battled her eyelash before opening them in full and her eyes scanned the unfamiliar room, bringing back the memories of last night, making her blush in embarrassment.

Medications my foot she scoffed inwardly, was that medication or torture? She asked no one in particular.
“Hey momma, come join us for breakfast" Andria beckoned of her.
“I’m sorry Ria", I have something important to attend to, but I promise to make it up to the both of you, eat up quick so you won't be late for school" she added, Pecking their cheeks each before leaving in a hurry.

“Yes boss" his assistant replied before leaving the study room and he smiled shamelessly.
“My precious daughter isn’t useless after all" he smirked just then the door opened and Antonio came in with his assistant.
“It been 10 years Antonio, good to see you again he smiled but a fake one obviously.
No one need to tell him what Antonio came here for.
Antonio and Alita were childhood friends until their family relocated to America.
7 years ago , The Brown’s company had been in a huge debt and at the edge of going Bankrupt.
So Rodrigo had to borrow a huge sum of money from the Vicente and in exchange that Alita get betrothed to Antonio because he had loved her ever since they were young.
Blinded by greed, he signed the document without even thinking twice, and he was sure Antonio was here in regards to their wedding.
He had known that a day like this will come, but he never thought it will turn out to be now, not when him and Alita aren’t in good terms.
To make matters worst his company is at the edge of going bankrupt again hence he can’t even pay back half of the money he borrowed if Alita refuses to marry Antonio.

Five Black Suv’s stopped in front a magnificent skyscraper building with a shimmering sentinel of glass and steel piercing the sky like a shard of crystals.
The alphabet D was boldly written at the top of the building and no doubt this building is a masterpiece of modern architecture it façade undulates with a rhythmic grace as if the building itself were a living, breathing entity and is regarded as the most beautiful skyscraper in Mexico.
One of the stand by guards, opened the car door the middle one to be precise, and a black pair of polished shoes step out of the car followed by a handsome looking Xavier dressed in a red tuxedo suit.
His suit was a clear evidence of his wealth, and the aura surrounding him dangerous. His hair styled backwards, having a few strands dangling at one side of his face, his muscular body enough to make any woman wet at just a glance.
“What are my schedules for today" he asked his assistant.
And he quickly opened his tab and started reading.
“You have a meeting with the shareholders by 10 in the morning.
An appointment with the manager Broad locks company...and lastly, there will be a family dinner at 6pm today at the Dante’s mansion about your upcoming engagement with Ms Suarez.
After Antonio was done discussing with Marshall he stumped downstairs and bumped into Bianca.

He had always known that Bianca had a thing for him back then, but he never thought that she will still be obsessed with him not when she’s married.
"The engagement was just between her dad and my parent, and I doubt if she herself knows about it".
“Humph I see she smirked, so I guess the date has been fixed she asked sarcastically.
“Yeah, I guess soon" he muttered and she laughed inwardly.
"Such a dummy, if only he knows that that her father is tryna play him".
"The game is going to be more fun than expected" she smirked inwardly.
