Michael approaches. His eyes land on Claire, who looks like she is about to throw another nervous fist. Or have a nervous breakdown right here and now.
“Claire, “ He says and closes his hand around her elbow carefully “What is going on?”
“You ask me what is going on?” My sister’s voice is raised almost to a yell and people keep glancing in our direction. We all know it won't take too long before the other clients complain, or Richard himself shows up and kicks us out. He may be Mia’s friend but my sister is already going too far.
“Emma keeps offending me!” Claire protests, “What are you going to do about it?”
Mike glances in my direction.
When he sees that Claire is the one causing trouble he moves closer to her, still holding her elbow.
