“And with this, I’m certain we can increase the..” Damien’s smooth baritone rolled over the boardroom as every eye locked on him. The directors sat forward, impressed. I knew they were just waiting to applaud.
The man really impressed me.
I never imagined Damien would come in with an entirely new proposal. Nothing about his presentation looked rushed, it was precise, and deliberately collated.
Had he guessed his cousin would try something low and dirty? Maybe that’s why everyone called him formidable.
“And that’s it for the presentation,” Damien concluded.
Applause cracked through the room, sharp and eager. My heart swelled. The board was eating out of his hand.
