Elvis I had completely lost track of time. When I finally pushed back from my desk and looked up, the penthouse was dark outside the study windows. I rolled my shoulders, checked the clock, and decided to look in on Hazel before I turned in. Her door was open when I got to it. I heard it before I fully processed what I was seeing, the sound, Tessy has just hit her, then Hazel stumbling sideways with her palm flying up to her cheek.
