»♥«Tre: New Teammates

Scarlett's POV

Then it struck me that Bennett was also there. Even though he was quite far, I know he still saw our display earlier. My face burned, I peek under my lashes and saw that Bennett was watching us. I mentally facepalm myself.

"Put me down, Rei" I whispered to Rei. When he put me down I quickly place the hoodie over my head.

He dragged me to Bennett. "I can't wait for you to meet your new teammates," he said cheerfully. He is such a child sometimes. Bennett have an odd look on his face when we arrived in front of him.

"Bennett, are you ok?" I asked concerned in my voice.

He seemed to snap out of whatever trance he was. "Um, yeah" clearing his throat he motions for us to follow him inside.

The interior of the house was beautiful with light purple wall and dark color furniture this place was beautiful. I have to admit. For guys, they really can decorate the house.

Bennett walked us further inside the house. "You are lucky we have 2 extra rooms here. If not, you have to share the room with someone here. There are 5 guys living here including me. I didn't tell them about you being our new teammates yet because we're kind of busy before. Don't worry I'll intro–" before could continue he was interrupted by a voice.

"Bennett, who is at the door?".

We heard hurried footstep before I was bumped by someone and fall flat on my back. It hurt my back from the impact. I can feel wind brushing my hair which means my hoodie came off.

"Are you okay Scarlett-chan?" Rei asked while rushing to help me.

When I open my eyes, I see a redheaded guy on top of me. His red orbs look at me before standing up and dusting himself. I stand up with Rei's help.

The guy looks at me up and down before giving Bennett his attention. "Who is she? I thought 'No Girls Allowed' in this house".

"Good timing, Hunter. I was just about to find you guys. Director Rei is here and he has something to say to us. Find the others and meet me in the living room" Bennett patted Hunter's back.

At the mention of Rei, Hunter became stiff and diverted his gaze to me. More precisely, behind my back. I hear a low chuckle behind me. I pulled my hoodie over my head again.

"Urm...Sir...Di–director Rei...I–I didn't see yo–you there," Hunter stuttered.

"It's not a big deal, you can calm down. Now can you please find your other friends, I have something to said to them" Rei smiled.

"Ye–yeah Sir. I'm on my way," with that he took off running to the other direction.

"We'll be waiting in the living room!!" Bennett yelled. I heard a distant 'alright' after that.

"Now, that Hunter is on his way finding the others why don't we go to the living room".

I just nodded my head. We follow Bennett and arrived at what I assumed is the living room. There a fireplace in the middle of the wall. 2 Red velvet sofa, a love seat, a black and white design couch there was a coffee table in front of the coach and the sofas.

Up on the wall was what I can say the biggest television I ever see. There a window showing a garden on the outside. The garden was colorful and beautiful. I can't wait to play there.

"Please take a seat. I'll serve some snacks and drinks while we wait for the other. Any particular preferences you guys want?" Bennett asked looking at us.

"I would like some black coffee if you may and Scarlett-chan will have a box of juice" Rei look at me for confirmation, I just nod.

"I'll back in a few minutes," with that Bennett walk out of the living room leaving me alone with Rei.

When Rei take a sit on one of the love seats, I sat beside him. Not that he seems to mind. "So, Scarlett-chan tell me," I look at Rei "How do you think about your teammates so far".

"I think Bennett is okay. But for Hunter can't say anything" I shrugged. "Say, Rei. Why did Hunter seem so nervous earlier?".

"Well you see...normally I am strict and serious. I really didn't tolerate disrespectfully. So maybe this is the first time he sees me smiling. I'm only like this when I'm with you".

To tell you the truth I never saw Rei serious around me. He's always being cheerful and playful around me. I can never imagine Rei being serious because he always being playful around me.

"Why did you treat me differently?" I tilted my head.

Rei took my hoodie off and kiss my forehead before placing our foreheads together. "Because you are special to me. We're like a family. You are just like a sister I never had. Besides, if anything happens we always have each other. I love you".

"Do you have a little sister complex?" I c****d my eyebrow.

It was silent for a moment before Rei threw his head back and burst out laughing. "Wow, way to ruining the mood Scarlett-chan." He then took my face with both of his hands before kissing my forehead, "I like how straight you are. Even though you are annoying".

"I'm the annoying one?" I smirk.

Rei rolled his eyes "Okay maybe not. But just remember I love you" he kissed my nose.

Our moment was cut off my Bennett walking in with a tray in his hand. The odd look is back on his face but it changes in a flash. Rei clearing his throat and muttered thanks when Bennett pass him his black coffee.

"Here is your juice. I hope you okay with mango juice," he smiled.

I gave him a smiled "Thank you, Bennett" he froze for a moment before composing himself and took a seat in front of us.

"You're welcome, Scarlett. I'm sorry we have to wait for the others," he gave me an apologetic smile.

"I don't mind" I drank the juice. Once again, I pulled the hoodie back on.

Rei is reading something on his phone.

"Scarlett, if you don't mind me asking. Why do insist pulling the hoodie over your head? It's okay if you don't answer it".

"I don't mind at all actually. You can say its a habit. It also makes me comfortable," Bennett just nod and smile at me.

Bennett sneak a peek at Rei before looking at me "Can I ask you another question?" I nodded for him to continue. "What is your relationships with Director Rei?" he whispers lowly.

I looked at Rei, he seems to focus reading the thing on his phone or he acts like he didn't hear anything. I rolled my eyes, what a nice gentleman I have here. I swear I even saw his lips twitch.

"Actually, we ar–" I was cut off by a voice. "Are you serious Director Rei is here?".

"There's no point lying to you Xavier. He even brought a girl with him" that is Hunter's voice.

"A girl?".

4 guys walk into the living room. Their body automatically become stiff when they saw Rei. I don't even know why. It's not like Rei is going to eat them.

"Director Rei," they say at the same time while bowing.

Rei gave them a nod, "Gentlemen, please have a seat. I have something to discuss with you guys" he motions for them to take a seat.

When they take a sit on the remaining chairs "If it's about the explosion last week I can explain" someone blurts out.

"Huh? What explosion?" Rei asked in confusion.

A deep blue haired guy hit a black haired guy with glasses. "Nothing, Sir" he smiled innocently.

"Okay then" he clears his throat. "I assumed Bennett didn't tell you anything about why I'm here right?".

"He didn't tell us anything" Hunter said. The 4 guys looking accusingly at Bennett. Bennett just smiled sheepishly.

"Not to be rude or anything... But who is that?" the glasses guy said while pointing at me.

Rei looks at me and smiled but when he turns to them his facial turns into something serious "Well it involves her actually. As you all know I have made a new rule". They all nod their head. Am I the only one that doesn't know about this new rule? "I have decided that she'll be part of your group".

"We are an all-boys group. We can't accept this" the blue hair guy says.

There only one person in this group that still doesn't speak is a black haired boy with a permanent scowl on his face. He has a little yellow bird sitting on his shoulder. He just looks at me without speaking anything.

"I do respect you Director Rei but I can't accept this too. What Xavier said is right, we just can't accept this with open arms" Hunter add.

They say this kind of thing like I'm not even there. I'm wounded.

The glasses guy looks at Bennett "Did you agree to this, Bennett?"

"It was an order direct from the Director Rei. I can't possibly deny it even if I want to. But I swear all I know that we will get new teammate today. I didn't know it's a girl".

"Are you saying you want to deny my wish?" Rei raised his eyebrow daring them to say it again.

"With due respect Sir, we don't even know her name," the glasses guy interject looking at me.

"Scarlett Drachen. That's her name" Rei pat my head.

It happens all at once.

"The loser?! Unfuckingbelievable I will not be on the same team with that thing".

"No f*****g way. She can't even do her own mission. She's a retard".

"How can we know she won't mess up the mission? Maybe she sides with the monster?".

"Enough. You will not say that kind of thing about her" Rei roared to the three of them.

I put my hand on Rei's arm. In hope, he'll calm down. His body relaxed a little but his face kind of scary.

"What can I do for you to accept me?" I asked no one in particular.

"Why do you want to join our team so much you even use, Director Rei?" Hunter sneered.

"Watch your tone boy or the next time I'll make sure you are 6 feet under" Rei growled.

Hunter just cast his eyes downcast. I rub a little circle on Rei's palm in an attempt to calm him down.

"I don't have any desired to join you guys. Hell, I hate working with anybody. Working alone is my style. Do you think I was that desperate to work with you guys?" I asked the question.

"So why?" that was Bennett.

"Well, it's simple because Rei wants it. If this thing can make Rei least worry, I'll take it. Although I don't want it" I squeezed Rei's hand.

Suddenly Rei rubs his cheek against mine. "Scarlett-chan you're just so cute!! I can't help it!!".

I push him off. "Behave. There are also other people in this room" I whisper. I cleared my throat "Ignored what just happened a few seconds ago. Now, what can I do for you to accept me? You can discuss among yourself".

"Okay then. Gave us a few minutes to decide," with that they walk out of the living room.

While waiting for them Rei and I chat about unimportant things. I was eating the cake that Bennett served earlier when they walked in. Hunter, the blue hair guy, and the glasses guy have smirks on their face.

"We have decided" Bennett start.

"You have to beat two out of three people. We choose Xavier, Shawn and I as your opponent. Do you agree with our decision?" Hunter finish.

"It seems simple. Where are we going to do this battle?" I asked while standing up.

"We'll be using the training room for our battle stage" the glasses guy answer.

"So, lead the way" they start to walk out. Rei and I just follow them. I noticed that the guy with a scowl never said anything until now.

After a few minutes, we finally arrived. The training room was huge. almost as big as 3 football field.

"So here we are. This is the training room. The wall is made out of strong iron so you don't have to worry about hitting it" Bennett patted the white color wall. "I'll introduce these guys before we start our battle. The blue hair is Xavier, the redhead is Hunter, the guy with glasses is Shawn and lastly, the raven hair is Luca" Bennett indicated everyone.

 Xavier has a straight blue hair that parts in the middle. His hair almost reaches his chin. He has a blue and a red eye. There is a word or something in his eyes but I can't read it. He was taller a few inches from Hunter. He has a dark green jacket with military shirt design and dark green pants but much darker than the jacket. Let's not forget that he wears a black glove. What with the glove.

Luca is the guy with a scowl on his face and haven't said anything yet. He has sharp gray eyes. Messy black hair almost reaches his neck. He wears a white button up shirt with black tie and black slack. The little yellow bird is still sitting on his shoulder he doesn't seem to mind at all. He was as tall as Xavier.  

Lastly, we have Shawn a.k.a. the glasses guy. He has messy black hair like Luca but much longer. His right eye was covered with hair. He has a mole under his left eyes. He has bright purple eyes that were covered by his glasses. He wears a blue shirt with black pant. He was must shorter than Bennet by an inch or two.

"So, who's first?" I smirk and Rei just chuckles at me.
