Unexpected visit

"I know you don't know me or have never heard my name before. I am Liam from Loopang."

"Which country is that?" Lisa had probably never heard a name like that in her entire life.

"Let me make it simpler. I know Ethan," said Liam.

Liam, seemed a very captivating and enigmatic figure, possessed a multitude of intriguing qualities that instantly drew her attention. His intelligence radiated effortlessly, reflected in his sharp wit and astute observations. With a commanding presence, he exuded an air of confidence that resonated with those around him.

Lisa took a deep breath, feeling a mix of emotions. She admitted that she didn't want to hear anything about Ethan as she had already moved on with her life.

"Ethan was here for a reason, Lisa." said Liam

"So, what brings you here?"

"I have come to take you to Loopang as advised by our king."

"What do you mean by 'king'? What year are you living in?" Lisa was taken aback by Liam's unexpected explanation.

"Well, we are actually ahead of your time."

Lisa began to feel anxious about the situation and attempted to run out of the woods. However, a massive portal suddenly opened in front of her, engulfing everything in blinding white light. After a while, she found herself in a strange land—a place that looked entirely different from her world. It was as if she had entered a parallel version of planet Earth.

"Welcome back, Liam. We received the signals just a second ago, and I can see that you..." His Highness paused for a moment, carefully observing Lisa. "You have brought the lady. Very nice. Welcome to Loopang, Ms. Lisa, if I am correct," he welcomed her graciously.

They had landed on what appeared to be the terrace of the palace, offering Lisa a wide view of the sky, which looked incredibly mesmerizing. The air was pure, and it seemed that the people in this place knew how to take care of their environment. Lisa couldn't understand why she had been brought here, surrounded by unfamiliar people. It made her contemplate every possible unfortunate circumstance. Meanwhile, unable to comprehend what was happening, Lisa continued to look around, taking in her surroundings. She noticed that the place was heavily guarded by several men. The king whispered something to Liam in a muffled voice that Lisa couldn't understand.

She was terrified, and a wave of fear washed over her. Filled with apprehension, she shouted, "What is this place? Why am I here? Are you going to kill me or feed me to the wolves?"

"Lisa, dear, you are here for a reason. You have been chosen," the king said calmly.

"Chosen for what? Sacrifice?" Lisa asked, her voice trembling.

The king chuckled lightly, admiring her courageous voice. "You will know very soon. For now, you need some rest. Call the servants, and make sure she has nothing to complain about," the king instructed.

Soon, a group of ten servants and palace guards appeared, guiding Lisa to her room. Liam was also there, overseeing every detail and providing instructions, taking on the role of a team leader. Lisa resisted, refusing to go along with them, desperately wanting to leave this place, this unknown planet.

"You must understand that your safety is of utmost importance to us. Please, enter the palace before we come under attack."

"By whom?" Lisa exclaimed.

"You will find out when the time is right," Liam said fiercely.

The ground fell silent, shrouded in an eerie stillness that sent shivers down Lisa's spine. Her heart raced, pounding against her chest, while her breath quickened. A cold sweat dripped down her forehead, and her body trembled uncontrollably. In the midst of the darkness, her senses heightened, every sound magnified to an unsettling degree. Lisa's heart seemed to skip a beat, as she found herself in a frightening land, surrounded by scared individuals, and now the looming threat of an imminent attack.

With a sense of urgency, everyone began making their way into the palace, traversing through corridors and passing numerous doors. The situation seemed so adverse that Lisa blacked out in the arms of Liam. He tried waking him up but couldn't. So he politely takes her to her designated room. Liam places her in her bed and softly wakes her up. Lisa seemed very terrified at the moment, she grasped his hand very tightly so as to never let go. Just before passing out in her bed, she whispers,

"Can I trust you, Liam?..."

Liam on the other hand had no words to express his feelings about the situation so he left the room.

Lisa happens to wake up in the middle of the night and discovers that the room boasted an array of clothing, shoes, gadgets, and exquisite furnishings. The curtains and bedsheets were chosen to her liking, leaving Lisa in awe of how these people seemed to understand her preferences. It was made abundantly clear that she would lack for nothing, as every desire and comfort were meticulously provided. Yet, despite the opulence, the sense of freedom seemed to elude her. She yearned to fight, to shout, to unleash her frustration.

She cursed the day she had met Ethan, feeling trapped and alone, even with people bustling about outside her door. At that moment, she longed for the simplicity of her childhood, the presence of her loving parents.

Lisa collapsed onto her bed, her head buried in her hands, allowing her tears to flow. The weight of her circumstances bore down on her, filling her with a sense of helplessness. She questioned her fate, wondering why she had been thrust into this enigmatic land. Thoughts raced through her mind, oscillating between fear and determination. She vowed to find a way out, to uncover the truth behind her presence in this parallel world.

As she lay there, emotions swirling within her, Lisa couldn't shake the feeling that something dark and ominous loomed on the horizon. The uncertainty of her situation hung heavy in the air, fueling her resolve to unravel the mysteries of Loopang. Determined to find her purpose and discover the truth behind Ethan's departure, Lisa closed her eyes, seeking solace in the hope that tomorrow would bring answers and the strength to face whatever awaited her in this strange, new world.

The next morning, Lisa decided to explore the unfamiliar place on her own in the hopes of finding a way back home. She began by selecting an outfit from the closest, which was filled with an array of breathtaking dresses.

"Wow! It must have cost a fortune to acquire such exquisite garments," Lisa murmured to herself in awe.

She settled on a stunning yellow gown and paired it with elegant heels. As she stood before the mirror to style her hair, an unexpected voice resonated from the reflective surface.

"Good morning, Your Highness. How may I assist you in achieving your desired look today?" the mirror spoke, surprising Lisa.

She instinctively took a step back, bewildered by the mirror's ability to communicate.

"Wait, you can talk?" Lisa asked in astonishment.

"Oh, yes! I am a highly advanced nanotechnology-based mirror, coded as GX452. I possess the capability to interact with individuals and fulfill their hair and makeup needs," the mirror explained.

Lisa couldn't help but ponder the nature of this place she found herself in. Looking out of the window, she noticed a drastically different world, seemingly transported into the future. This raised even more questions in her mind. Why would someone bring her from the past? What could be the purpose behind all of this?

With a mind filled with puzzles and a longing for answers, Lisa requested the mirror's assistance in preparing herself for her journey outside, determined to uncover the truth. Just then someone knocked at the door and she discovered it was Liam entering the room.

"So, you are all ready for the day!" said Liam.

"Look Liam, you people are probably leaving in some future, the technologies are mind-blowing but what is my purpose in this land? Most importantly, where is Ethan?" exclaimed Lisa.

"Ethan is very fine but he won't be able to meet you at the moment so instead I am here to take care of you the whole day. So, now may I request you to join us for breakfast".

As Lisa was very hungry and wanted to explore the place, she quietly followed Liam.
