Grimoire

"... And that was how he cut them up and fainted" said Benzema as he reported his tale to lord Grabit. "What did he do with the bodies?" Lord Grabit asked. "Uhm, My Lord, he was unconscious, he couldn't have done anything to the bodies in that state." Benzema replied. "He must have killed the others I sent. Return to the farm and locate the corpses." When you find them, report back to me. You have one month". Lord Grabit said. Benzema left the presence of Lord Grabit and went back to the farm to monitor my activities and look for the corpses. "You have regained consciousness" I woke up in my room with a little headache. I went to see old man winger and found out that I had been unconscious for almost an entire day. With my strength renewed, I moved the corpses of the 20 men from the shallow grave old man winger dug for them and moved them to another 9 feet deep grave. Of course, I removed all clothes and valuables from them. It was after I was done with the burial and had resumed farming, that the spy returned to his spot near the farm to watch me. I continued to train and farm until the next market day when I and old man Winger retuned to the market to sell our new goods and pick up my new sword. Once we went beyond viewing distance, the spy made his way out of his hiding place and began to search for the corpses. After a week of searching without finding anything, the spy noticed me and old man winger approaching from afar. He thought he had escaped without anyone noticing, but I had received a new skill after waking up from the long nap the last time. It was called "Farm Memory". Farm memory works like a CCTV with full color and 360 degrees view. I can access a video or Audio record of anything that has occurred on the farm, whether in my presence or absence. The recording covers the farm and 20 feet in all directions. As I returned with my long heavy sword, I accessed farm memory. I and the voice began to talk. "Would you like audio, video, or text display?" "Text display" "While away, an intruder came into the farm and dug around. He left the farm some minutes ago and is currently 16 feet to the east." "Show me a picture of this person" "Now displaying Images cut from video footage" The spy was revealed, but he didn't know that. Only I could hear the voice and see the information. I decided to kill the spy as well. But how? I don't know his abilities. I decided to simply keep an eye on him. For three weeks, he would stay within the range of farm memory, only leaving to eat or ease himself. I had complete records and knowledge of his whereabouts, but I chose to act ignorant and keep on training. The abnormally heavy sword was intense on me, and the pain from training was almost unbearable. I couldn't train with the sword on a daily basis anymore, so I did my farm work while I rested from my sword training. I trained with the sword once a week and spent the rest of the week doing farm work and regular or common exercises. After three weeks the surveillance time was over and I noticed the spy left his spot for more than 24 hours. I wasn't sure what to make of this, but I had an idea. I went to speak with old man Winger. "Sir, who owns the land to the east of us?" "The local dynasty of Aquarium" I thought that was the dumbest name I had ever heard given to a place, but it seemed names weren't a big deal in this world. "Who can we meet if we want to buy the land?" "The chief of lands. His name is Berlin Shards" So the next day, after finishing my morning farm work, I went over to the Aquarium dynasty to see Berlin Shards. When I met him, he was surrounded by books, reading some and making reference to others, his entire office was an inventory of books. "Good afternoon sir, I'm looking for the chief of lands, Sir Berlin Shards" "That would be me" "There is a piece of land I would like to buy, it borders on the farm of old man Winger. I work there and would like to buy the land to add to the existing farm Land. How much for 2,000 acres?" Berlin Shards looked up from his book and looked at me. "One thousand gold coins" "When can I pay?" "You can see my assistant" I went with 10,000 gold coins, expecting the land to be worth more. So I paid for the land and got the documents. Where did I get the money? The sales of the loot of the buried. Three officers went with me and marked the new 2000 acres of land. Old man Winger was unable to understand what was going on. The farm land before now was just an acre. Expanding by 2000 acres made no sense, especially since it was just the two of us and we had no machines or slaves. Apart from the spy I needed to catch, increasing the farm would give me more land to work with, increasing my efficiency as a farmer and providing more land to store human fertilizer. The spy returned, but not to his spot, he retuned with a team of ten archers, 20 mages and 50 soldiers. This was all of Grabits forces left. Grabit himself came as well. They stepped into the land as Old man Winger went to take a leak. I and the voice had a little chat. "81 hostile persons have entered the farm, Reverse jumping is now available" "Active reverse jumping" "Reverse jumping activated". "Show stats" Name: Hansel Greenwood Health status: fine Rank: commoner Title: Hoodlum Farmer Age: 20 Stats: Level: 4 HP: 50 MP: 5 Strength: 25 Dexterity: 35 Constitution: 50 Intelligence: 30 Wisdom: 15 Charisma: 2 Luck: 5 Perception: 16 "Activate reverse Jumping" "Warning, the effects of reverse jumping are being multiplied by the number of hostile persons. All stats are being multiplied. You might experience sudden shock and dizziness. Please wait" "Why do you suddenly sound like a customer service repre..." My words were cut short by an intense pain in my head that began to scour through my body. I tried to scream in pain, but my entire constitution was undergoing a sudden reconstruction, so much so that my voice couldn't be produced. It only lasted a few seconds, but it felt like ages. "Reverse jumping effects have been applied. Please note that these effects will reduce as the number of hostile persons reduce" I was barely conscious, on the floor, writhing in pain. "Sh...sho... Show me my.... My stats" I managed to whisper. Stats: Level: 4 HP: 500 MP: 50 Strength: 250 Dexterity: 350 Constitution: 500 Intelligence: 300 Wisdom: 150 Charisma: 20 Luck: 50 Perception: 160 It was a ten fold increase. I got up and an arrow landed on my head. It should have gone in, but with a constitution of 500, you need something more than an arrow to wound me. I ran towards the archers. Their arrows were damaging my precious crops. My heavy sword felt so light right now, so I got rid of the hands of the archers. Hands flew into the air as I slit them from their bodies. I did the same for the rest of them, warriors and mages alike. The scene didn't make any sense, and it all happened so fast, none could react in time to do anything, even scream. By the time the pain got to them, they were too shocked to understand what was going on. Men clad in armor had their protected arms sliced off as though they were walking pieced of butter. I cut off the arms of the noble himself as well. I left the spy with his arms intact though. Why was I cutting off arms instead of heads you might wonder? That's because dead people reduce the strength of "Reverse jumping" to needed them alive, I didn't want to experience the pain of having those stat point drained in a flash, I thought I might die. So I maimed them. All except the spy. I spoke to him, as he stood there, shaking, peeing himself. "Go and tell others what you have seen here today" He couldn't move. He actually fainted a short while after. There is just a level of terror and fear the human mind is unable to watch and remain sane. When he regained consciousness, he had gone insane, literally. As for those who I had maimed, I didn't cover their wounds or stop the bleeding or anything, I cut their legs also and l dug a compost pit, throwing all 81 of them into it, arms legs and the rest of them. Grabit probably wanted to say somethings, but the pain of having both arms and legs gone in an hour rendered him unconscious. I made sure to strip them all of their belongings before dumping them down the 30feet deep hole. I was able to dig that deep for some reason. There were beautiful women among the archers and mages, but I didn't have mercy on them or try to r**e them, I stripped them and dumped their limbless bodies in the pit. This of course took a long time, and old man winger was done with the toilet by then. He just continued his own farm work like nothing happened. There was a pawn shop in town I usually went to to sell the goods that once belonged to my manure, I would be visiting them soon. After an hour, the notifications started coming in. "One person has died, The effect of Reverse jumping has been reduced" So I felt the slight dizziness over time as each person died in the pit and the pain wasn't enough to knock me down. After all 81 died, I got a new message. "You have defeated a large group alone, your skill reverse jumping is now level 2. The Multiplier effect will now increase per opponent" This skill is broken to say the least. But what's with the accompanying pain? "You have leveled up" "You have leveled up" "You are now level 6" "Show me my current status" Stats: Level: 6 HP: 70 MP: 7 Strength: 45 Dexterity: 55 Constitution: 70 Intelligence: 50 Wisdom: 35 Charisma: 22 Luck: 25 Perception: 36 My rank and title have changed to reflect my current activities. Interesting. My stats increased by about 20 points each, except for a few exceptions. I decided to ask the voice a few questions. "What does my intelligence stat affect?" "Your magic gain ability" "Why is my mp still low?" "You haven't practiced any magic" Speaking of magic, I looted a few grimoires from the mages I converted to manure. Let's see what happens if I try to read and understand them. Each grimoire was different, and I couldn't actually read one at all. There were also magic wands, but I wanted to cast magic with a sword in hand. Magic swordsman type s**t. So I opened up a fire grimoire. That's not what it was called, but the title word was so weird, I just preferred to call it that. So I decided to start with the highest rank spell. I literally turned the last page and called out the spell. "Flaming sun" That was the last thing I remember. I lost consciousness. "You have exhausted your MP." "You have lost 45 HP due to sudden HP drain." "You have been stunned by sudden HP drain." "You have sustained internal wounds." "You are bleeding." "You are loosing consciousness" Oh s**t.
