Third person POV
Ryan slouched on his seat in the empty classroom as he diddled on a note. It wasn't really empty, but most students had gone for recess.
He turned around before throwing a gaze towards the two seats on the last row.
He scoffed. Isn't Vienne going out of her way?
Switching seats huh? For some unknown reason, he had fought the urge to throw a slap at that Grace girl when she offered to switch seats. He had definitely seen Amelia get upset at the setting just like other students had seen. But no one has actually paid attention to him to realize the slight frown that etched on his face for a few seconds.
“That stupid girl…” he muttered a curse at Grace.
He was done with Vienne, which is why he broke up with her; but this disturbing feeling he's been getting was what he could not understand.
In fact, he should even be glad he's getting away from the girl he'd called ‘too much’.
He brought out his cellphone, turning it on and almost immediately notifications from the students’ group chat flowed in.
‘I would never believe Knox and Amelia would end up together at the end of the session’
‘Isn’t the senior year class full of drama 😂’
‘well, who saw Vienne and the scholarship boy again this morning?’
‘you mean Damon and Vienne are still at it?😩’
‘I swear, I spotted a blush on her face at the lot’
‘this is seeming a bit fishy’
‘Why?’
‘isn’t the switch up and move on too fast?’
The messages kept coming in.
Ryan sneered. Those jobless, nosy junior students. Are they beginning to stalk the seniors?. All that they've been yapping about for a while is about Damon Calloway and his ex-girlfriend. Would they get a life and cut him some slack?
Thank God there wasn't a photo this time around.
His chest tightened at the thought of another picture of those two. Just then Seth and Shawn barged in with a cackle.
“There you are Ryan!” Seth practically bellowed, causing Ryan to glare at him.
“What?”
“Coach wanted to see you”
“Why are you here? mopping?” Shawn questioned, taking a seat beside him. “Don't let me start getting the wrong idea”
“About what?” Ryan spat.
“About you getting lovesick.” Seth answered. “Lovesick? Heartache? You saw the picture too”
“What picture again?” He gritted out, dreading another picture of those two. Didn't the gossip in the group chat say there wasn't? Perhaps, they were talking about the previous ones. “Of course I have”
“I doubt it. It isn't in the general school page here. This one is from this morning.” Seth scrolled through his phone. “Here” he showed him the picture of Damon and Reyes at the parking lot, causing Ryan to sneer.
“I would have to comment, moving on from you after the breakfast was quite fast “ Shawn said laughing lowly a bit. “Reyes would not keep me disappointed” and that earned him a glare from Ryan but he seemed unfazed instead
“About what? You're getting fooled. I can bet it with you it's all a stupid comeback plan from her.” He'd give that to her, Vienne is quite meticulous. “She's just being an attention seeker trying to fight back” he let out a low chuckle in mockery.
At the end of it all, she's still bluffing and it all centers right around him. Getting over him should not be that easy.
“I doubt _”
“Please. Would that be all about her for now?” The silence that followed after the cold cut short was heavy. “Don't tell me all you two are going to be talking about also is Vienne. I've had enough about her if you haven't”
“Tone it down, Ryan,” Seth snorted.
“I'm trying to but it's quite difficult if you two would keep going on about her like she's all you have been thinking of” he scoffed. “Perhaps, you wouldn't mind if she gives you a chance. Heads up, she's quite rigid. You wouldn't be getting any goodie_”
“Is that you telling us about how much of a sore loser you are?” Shawn bit back with a frown and there was a change in the air and energy in the class. The shift was rather profound between the two holding each other's gaze
The two guys threw acidic glares at each other.
“That was a bit too much, Ryan” Seth let out “you could watch your tone, yeah?”
At that moment, Amelia chose to enter, causing Seth and Shawn to look away with a heavy release of breath.
“There you are Ryan!” She rushed forward. “Isn't Vienne being too much?”
And at that moment, Ryan fought the urge to snap at her too. Vienne this, Vienne that; would everyone get a life. He scowled before his face softened immediately too, staring at her.
“What? She did something to you?”
“Not directly though” she huffed “would you believe she instigated Grace to attack me?”
“Grace hit you?” His jaw clenched
“No. Not physically. She had just verbally attacked me a while ago. You should see her fearlessly saying those hurtful things at me” she whined.
At that moment, the three guys were left speechless.
Shawn and Seth stood tall, adjusting their school slacks before excusing the two and along the corridor, their voices rang out in gossip.
“Isn't that Amelia being a hypocrite? Seth started
“Just some days ago, she was fiercely calling Reyes pathetic and now what? Whining to Ryan about being bullied?”
Seth scoffed. “I can already tell the year is going to be long with drama I can't wait to unfold”
“On a more serious note, would Ryan go over to get back at Grace or Vienne?...” Shawn wondered out aloud.
