“Wow! That makes twice you actually came back when you said you would.” Jimmy smiled when he saw Kord at his door.
“After you slapped me I wasn’t sure I should come back,” Kord smiled so Jimmy would know he was joking. “You pack quite a wallop.”
“For a wimpy-looking guy. I know what you’re thinking,” Jimmy said as he bounced onto the bed.
“You’re anything but wimpy, kid. You’ve probably got guys chasing you wherever you go.” Kord felt the slightest twinge of jealousy. Jealousy? He didn’t feel he had a right to that emotion, not with Jimmy.
“Sometimes but…”
“But what?”
“I don’t know anymore. I don’t know what I want or even who I am. I was hoping…” He let the thought float in the air.
