Chapter 1
Doyle
There was little time for Doyle to react. The tall, well-dressed man entered the inner office before Doyle had given Riley the okay.
As Doyle stood to confront the stranger, Riley pushed past the man into the room.
“I’m sorry, boss,” Riley said. “This guy shoved right past me.” He turned to glare at the man. Riley was shorter than the intruder and, though well-built, would have been no match for the tall stranger.
“It’s okay. Some people have a lot to learn about manners,” Doyle said, then scowled at the intruder.
“I’m sor—” the stranger began.
“It won’t happen again, boss,” Riley interrupted him. “Should I shut the door?”
“Might as well, He’s already in.” Doyle frowned.
