“So where do we start?” Brandon asked. “How do we find something we missed without knowing what it is? Doesn’t sound easy.”
“But it might be fun,” Doyle said. “Just kidding.”
“We’ve already looked everywhere. Maybe we should try a memory exercise.”
“A memory exercise?” Doyle felt a little wary. “This doesn’t involve hypnosis or anything weird like that, does it?” He’d been ‘hypnotized’ before at some police function. Of course it hadn’t worked and he’d felt like a fool.
“Well, if you think that stripping off all your clothes and lying naked in the middle of the floor so that you can concentrate only on your memories is weird. Then it’ll be weird. Do you? Consider it weird?” Brandon started laughing. “Look at your face! You really swallowed it hook line and sinker. Ha
