Chapter 31 Doyle By the time he arrived home, Doyle was exhausted. The concussive effects of being hit over the head, and then nearly strangled, were more taxing than he wanted to admit. There was something oddly unsettling about the meeting with Owen and having to press the guy about things the way he did. He hadn’t wanted to upset Owen but that seemed the only way to feel him out. He appeared honest and above board but Doyle wasn’t taking him off the suspect list just yet. The Insurance money, Gary’s embarrassing cheating, his abusiveness, and more gave Owen plenty of motive.
