The closer we get to Tiffany's family vineyard the more nervous I get. I have only met Tiffany's mum, Gloria once before. Her dad and brothers own the vineyard together and they were the ones who offered me the job of office manager for the summer. "How nervous are you?" Tiffany asks me. without looking at her i answer " I am not nervous! What makes you think I am?" She giggles, "Well the fact you have changed your hair style 3 times in the last ten minutes is a big hint." I put my head into my hands and groan "Argh, I don't know why I am so scared to meet the rest of your family!" I look over to her and smile, "They will like me won't they?" I ask her. She grabs my hand "Lexi they are going to love you, that is a promise. You have been my rock this year and this is their way of saying thank you." I smile back at her and reply "You have been my rock too Tiff. And it's a pretty generous thank you. I am getting a free summer holiday with my bestie and the chance to save for next term at college." Tiffany takes the next exit off the road, I see a sign "Hardy Vineyard" I let out a small squeal. WE HAVE ARRIVED!!!!
We climb out of the Jeep, at the same time the front door to the mansion opens (I say mansion because calling it a house is not accurate). Tiffany's mum Gloria comes running out, "My baby" she yells as she pulls Tiffany into a hug. She then turns to me "Alexis you get more gorgeous every time i see you." she then hugs me too. I blush and reply "Thank you Gloria." I hear a small cough from behind me. I turn around to say hello to the rest of Tiffany's family. I am met with two Greek Gods ( I am sure my jaw has hit the floor at this point.) Tiffany's big brothers Dylan and Dominic Hardy. I am pretty sure I am staring at them both as they start to chuckle, I turn completely tomato red and look straight to the floor. Tiffany looks over to me from her fathers arms and rolls her eyes "Dylan, Dom please try to be a little less arrogant asses to my bestie!" she shouted. (Gee thanks Tiff) "Hi" I mumble to them still bright red and averting my gaze. before I can say anything else I am swept into a group hug by both of them. "Hey Lexi." they both say at the same time. I giggle and manage to detangle myself from their bear hugs.
Tiffany walks back to my side and glares at her brothers "Hey none of that you two she is my bestie and I love her so do not ruin it!" Dylan or was it Dominic sighed " Hey Tiff missed ya baby girl and cross my heart we will not ruin it." Tiffany seems to be happy with this answer and runs into her brothers arms for a massive hug. Tiffany's father walks over to me and shakes my hand "Hello Alexis, so pleased to meet you, I am Mark Tiffany's father ." I smile warmly at him and reply "Mr Hardy pleased to meet you too have heard so much about you. I am so so so thankful for the job this summer. It will be a big help for my next term at college." Mr. Hardy shakes his head "Please call me Mark, and its no problem. You have helped Tiffany with her studies this is my chance to repay you." I smile up at him and turn to the car and start to unload. The twins stop me "Lexi we got this OK? Go into the house and have some ice tea." says Dominic. I blush AGAIN and nod my head, and before i can say thank you Tiffany grabs my hand and pulls me into her home.
