The morning sun was at its peak when the servants were finally allowed to enter the Luna’s chamber. Kael had woken up early but couldn’t bring himself to wake her, not when she was sleeping so peacefully.
As early as the third howl of dawn, Katty Pellar, Helene, and Everest stood before the Alpha’s chamber, waiting to be led in, but Kael did not grant them their heart’s desire.
“She slept late… anything else can wait.”
“But,"
“She needs rest, Helene,” Kael insisted, and all three individuals nodded and walked away.
