I held Eddy's hand as the car made another sharp right turn.
Filippo still hadn't said a thing or acknowledged even our existence in the back.
There was no way I could have unbuckled Eddy and jumped. Or even just jumped by myself, but I wouldn't leave him behind anyway.
I just had to keep my head. I had to try and not panic and lose my s**t.
Breathe.
Be in control.
Protect Eddy.
The car finally comes to a stop inside a large shed.
Eddy's bottom lip is trembling, but he's trying so hard not to cry. I tried again to reassure him as I looked around us.
The shed was old. Wooden sides with an old tin roof. Looked like it hadn't been sued in years with all the rusted equipment, dirt, cobwebs and everything creepy.
Yay! This just got so much better.
