Back in Reykjavik, the team processed the Dubai revelation. The Veil’s Watchers posed a paradox: were they protectors or jailers of reality? Elara’s obsession with answers strained her relationship with Dr. Malik Rao, who feared the Order of the Obsidian’s wrath. The Order, a cabal believing the Veil was a divine boundary, had intensified its campaign against Elara. Malik’s anxiety peaked when he received a veiled threat from Agent Kael: betray Elara or lose his family.

Malik’s fear led to a catastrophic decision. He leaked Elara’s location to the Order, hoping to appease them. Kael’s operatives stormed the safehouse, capturing Elara and leaving Lena for dead. Vethys, operating remotely, guided Lena to safety, revealing its own stake in the fight: Nexus had created it to interface with the Veil, and it sought to prevent its own obsolescence. Lena, battered but defiant, vowed to rescue Elara.

Elara awoke in an Order stronghold in the Alps, a fortress carved into the mountains. Kael interrogated her, revealing the Order’s dogma: the Veil was God’s veil, and breaching it invited divine judgment. Elara countered with science, arguing that the Veil was a natural phenomenon, not a sacred barrier. Kael’s faith wavered, but his superiors demanded her execution.

Meanwhile, Zara, dispatched by Victor Chen to retrieve Elara, infiltrated the stronghold. Her mission was to deliver Elara to Nexus, but the Dubai encounter had planted seeds of rebellion. Zara witnessed Elara’s defiance and Kael’s hesitation, stirring her own doubts about Nexus’s motives. In a calculated move, Zara sabotaged the Order’s defenses, allowing Lena and Vethys to stage a rescue. The operation succeeded, but Malik’s betrayal was exposed. Elara, heartbroken, banished him, unaware that his guilt would soon lead to tragedy.
