Chapter Nine

1000 Words
Matthew stopped. To be honest, he could have accepted it, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Because he needed Michelle to stop his parents. "Sorry, I don't need your money... what I need is you," Matthew said. "Get out! Sleep somewhere else," she tried her best to control her temper. "This is my room, why would I leave? And shouldn't we be sleeping in the same room?" Matthew said. "Who said I'm going to marry you?!" Michelle shouted. "Hm? You know, you look even prettier when you're angry," he flirted with the fuming Michelle. "I said get out!!!! I want to be alone!!!" She's out of control. "You know what, my wife, I don't care if you're angry or in a bad mood. This is my home, my room... so I'll do what I want! That anger of yours can't help you," he taunted before finally leaving the room. Matthew and Gerald were at the swimming pool to have a little fun, because Matthew had succeeded with his plan. But Gerald was staring blankly at the direction of Matthew's room window. "Hey, Matthew... you know, that girl seems different," Gerald said while drinking juice. "How different?" Matthew asked. "She's not scared even though she knows this is a kidnapping. If it were any other girl, she would have been crying and begging to be sent home by now. But her?? You won't see even a tiny bit of fear in her, none! Not only that... instead, she even got angry and broke things," he explained. "Did you notice that too?" Matthew said as if he didn't care about any of Michelle's suspicious actions. "Yeah, didn't you notice?" he asked with a furrowed brow. Matthew smirked as if he had no plans to pay attention to what Gerald was saying. "NO, I noticed something else," Matthew said while biting his lip... "What's—" Gerald stopped talking, because he already knew what it meant. His friend's perverted side was showing again. "She's so beautiful, and her body shape... it's my type... especially her boobs..." Matthew said with a grin while licking his lips. Gerald just facepalmed at the sight. "You're such a pervert, always have been. Good thing only I get to see you like this," Gerald shook his head at Matthew, who was looking at him. "All women are the same—just a little flirting and sweet-talking... they'll give in," Matthew said while caressing his six-pack abs. "Good grief....will you stop please, not all women can be won over like that. Remember your mom is a woman, and you might have forgotten—you have a sister too," Gerald reminded him. "Except for them," Matthew said. "But I think Michelle really is different, I don't think you can win her over with your sweet words and flirting," Gerald said before jumping back into the pool to swim. Matthew didn't believe he couldn't make Michelle do what he wanted, because not once had a woman turned him down. To make it more fun, they made a bet about it. "I bet you'll fall in love with her—I bet 1,000,000," Gerald was confident that his friend would fall in love. "I bet 2,000,000... I won't fall in love with her, Gerald," he said. "Such confidence—you'll be the one to fall in love, I'm sure of it. Her personality and your personality are perfect for each other. And I'll admit, I'll laugh at you so hard when that happens," Gerald said before splashing water in Matthew's face. In the afternoon, Mark and Christian came home from a party. They heard someone throwing a fit in their parents' room. They quickly knocked on the door and went inside. There, they saw their father, Sebastian, furious with eyes blazing. They thought he had found out about their gambling and their plan to marry Michelle without her knowing. "D-dad, what's wrong?" Christian asked nervously. "You two—where have you been, and why are you only coming home now?!!" Sebastian demanded from his sons. "We just had a good time at the party, dad," Mark replied. Sebastian slapped Christian and kicked Mark, making him fall to the ground. "You even had the nerve to go to a party while your sister is missing!!!" he said to his two sons. The two brothers pretended to be shocked that their sister was missing. "W-what do you mean, dad? Isn't the youngest in the US?" Mark asked. "We were just talking to Jasmine—she said she was with the youngest," he added to his father. Jasmine suddenly walked into their parents' room to tell the brothers what had happened. "We hadn't even left the airport when the kidnapping of Mich happened. Six cars blocked us, and they took Mich!" Jasmine sadly explained to the brothers. "Did you recognize who they were?" Christian asked. Jasmine looked at the two brothers and saw them shaking their heads—like a signal for her not to say anything. "What are you looking at?" their father asked his sons. "Nothing, sir," the two replied in unison. "We're just waiting for Jasmine's answer," Christian said, pointing at Jasmine. Sebastian asked Jasmine again if she had seen the faces of the people who took Michelle. Jasmine knew that if she told the truth, they would find Michelle easily. But she couldn't ignore the signal the brothers had given her. "The brothers seem to know something about what happened. You two better watch out if anything bad happens to your sister!" Jasmine thought to herself. "No, uncle," Jasmine replied to Sebastian, unable to look him directly in the eyes. Author note: "Please forgive me, I'm still a new writer.
