“ If you keep doing that, you will be amazed at how fast you find yourself in front of the council. Sign the darn paper and leave! I’ve got a job to do.” He stared at me as though he was speaking to someone so insignificant.
Warning bells jingled in my head. A voice kept telling me to be sure I was not just paying someone to escape. I had no way of finding out if he would really do this job except based on hearsay.
It would be even worse if he did not come back to the agreed destination. My fears would eventually come to pass and there would be no way whatsoever to go back. And all this risk is for that stupid slut!
I closed my eyes and breathed deeply.
