Another Betrayal
The room became silent.
Painfully silent.
Even the machines seemed quieter.
"Richard isn't the only one who betrayed me..."
The words hung heavily in the air.
Sophia froze.
Stanley froze.
Even Mr. Tom looked shocked.
Because none of them expected that.
Not now.
Not after everything.
Not when Steve was lying in a hospital bed fighting for his life.
Sophia's heart pounded.

Steve looked exhausted.

Yet his eyes remained focused.
Determined.

His voice cracked.
The doctor immediately stepped forward.
