  A MOTHER'S PROMISE   Daisy stood in the middle of the nursery and smiled.   The room was still unfinished.   Paint cans occupied one corner.   Furniture remained wrapped in protective plastic.   Boxes covered the floor.   Yet somehow, it was already her favorite room in the penthouse.   Her hand drifted to her stomach.   Five months.   The triplets were growing quickly.   And so was her attachment to them.   Every kick.   Every movement.   Every heartbeat she heard during appointments made them feel more real.   More precious.   More hers.
