CHAPTER 15

821 Words

THREE MIRACLES "Move!" The hospital corridor became a blur. Doctors. Nurses. Wheelchairs. Machines. Everything moved too fast. Too loud. Too suddenly. Daisy gripped the side of the hospital bed as another contraction ripped through her body. A scream escaped her lips. The pain was unbearable. Far worse than she had imagined. Far worse than anyone had warned her. "Ms. Hart, stay with us." A nurse squeezed her hand. "We're almost there." Almost. The word meant nothing. The only thing Daisy could think about was her babies. Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay. The prayer repeated endlessly in her mind. Outside the delivery room, Sophia paced nervously. Her hands shook. Her heart refused to slow down.
