11 I WOKE UP WITH A START. I’d been dreaming about Duncan warning me about Ethan. “He killed me, Nikki. Too bad you’re too busy making out with him to give a shit.” I felt so ashamed. Guilty. My own subconscious knew that I was in the wrong. Ethan had attacked Duncan before. Of course he was the one who would want to get rid of him. I had to quit lying to myself.
