Bessie races down the mall hallway. She shoves an elderly person out of the way. Shocked faces turn to stare and mutter. She pushes open the heavy exit door to tear down the sidewalk and head blindly across the parking lot. A horn blasts over and over. The screech of tires reaches her ears. Voices are screaming.
