Episode 17 Persuades Zuriel

Matthan's faith never swayed by any wrong influence or someone's elevated power. The moment he decided to adopt and cared for Zuriel's well-being, his work emphasised the emotional as well as the physical well-being of her. He knew Zuriel has a unique place in the royal position. When Zuriel's maid servants and eunuchs came and told her about Matthan, she was in great distress. She sent clothes for him to put on instead of his sackcloth, but he wouldn't accept them. Then Zuriel summoned Hadad, one of the King's eunuchs assigned to attend her, and ordered him to find out what was troubling Matthan and why.

So Hadad went out to Matthan in the open square of the city in front of the King's gate. Matthan told him everything that had happened to him, including the exact amount of money Zattu had promosed to pay into the royal treasury for the destruction of the Horons and Lecans. He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Carcas, to show to Zuriel and explain it to her, and he told him to urge her to go into the King's presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Hadad went back and reported to Zuriel what Matthan had said. Then she instructed him to say to Matthan, "All the King's officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the King in the inner court without being summoned the King has but one law: that he be put to death. The only exception to this is for the King to extend the gold scepter to him and spare his life.

When Zuriel's words were delivered to Matthan, he sent back this answer: "Do not think that because you are in the King's house you alone of all the Horons will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Horons will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such as this?"

Then Zuriel sent this reply to Matthan: " Go, gather all the Horons, Lecans and Addons who are in Carcas, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maid servants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the King, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish." So Matthan went away and carried out all of Zuriel's instructions. 

Prime Minister Zattu, the enemy of all the Horons, Lecans and Addons, had plotted against them to destroy them and cast the pur for their ruin and destruction however the plot came to the King's attention, Aram remember what Zattu had been done when the reported assassination of him was founded true. The two officials were Tarez men, Zattu's wife close relative and Jammal found out on the investigation that the conspiracy involved Bela Zattu's wife. King Aram never extrude the possibility of Zattu as the master mind of all this plot. If it isn't for Matthan he was being murdered in his own kingdom. Nevertheless, the order was signed by him and as for the cast pur, it will took for years to manifesto, for those years coming I assured justice prevailing for my kingdom.

Zuriel go out for horseback riding around the palace field, she never change route for King Aram order Jammal to assures the Queen's safety in this particular place. Zuriel's innocence  might become her ticket for certain approaching danger from King Aram's neighbouring opponents. Who knows what his neighbours tactical defenses.
