Walking out of a waiting limo, I climbed in as my temporary assistant handed me my work phone. “You have many emails for your sister’s interviews about her new restaurant. And in there, there’s also emails about your new personal assistant interviews.” “s**t,” I cursed. “Is there ever a day where I don’t have to work?” After telling my driver to take us to the office, I jumped right into the emails for my sister’s interviews. It’s always been one of Sophia’s dreams that she did something that people didn’t see her as the person that always got what she wanted all because she had a rich brother. She’s always wanted to start a business of her own but I never allowed her to because of all the danger she’ll be in. Now that I have the tightest security that no one can come in nor out of, it’s safe to say that she can start whatever she wants. It’s just the fact that she’s camera shy that she doesn’t want to be interviewed which makes my plate even more filled. Anyway, after I finished replying to all of her emails, I looked through all of mine for a personal assistant. After going through that first twenty, I got bored and emailed all of them saying that I don’t need them. I mean, I can use them as my whores, but they all have kids and something to go back home to. What I need from my personal assistant is that she doesn’t have anyone to go home to, not in any relationship, and doesn’t have kids. When something goes down and I need them, they have to drop whatever they’re doing to do what I need. After emailing, I got to this one file. Opening it, it was as if I had forgotten how to breathe. This girl had the most mesmerizing golden brown eyes, compelling complexion, and beautiful long hair. From just looking at this picture, this girl was so goddamn beautiful that it was unbelievable. But it’s not like I’ll never fall for her. Every girl has tried to do the exact same thing and has failed. No woman will ever be able to close the hole that’s in my heart that was put there when my enemies- once the most trusted people in my life- can ever heal. Besides, they wouldn’t be able to deal nor handle me. Putting my phone into my suit, the limo stops at Spencer Enterprise. The driver comes around to open the door. Getting out, I immediately take off my suit jacket and roll up my sleeves. I’m never the type of guy who’d wear a jacket with his suit. When I wear it, it makes me feel powerless for a reason that I have promised myself that I will never bring up. Walking inside the building, my assistant at the front desk stands up and hands me a thick stack of files and follows beside me as I make my way toward my office. “The girls are all upstairs waiting to be interviewed, sir.” “This whole stack is all of them?” I asked, stopping in my tracks. “Yes.” “I’m sending you a list of girls that I said no to,” I said, continuing my pace toward the elevators. “Send them upstairs and tell her to tell them to go.” “Yes sir, but in some files in the stack, there’s some paperwork that needs your signature for Sophia’s restaurant if she wants to open it by the end of the week.” “She moved the date up?” “That’s what it looks like.” “Call her and tell her to come in then.” I opened the elevator doors. Waiting for the elevator doors to open, I think about what Alex wants me to do. Marry his daughter. I never met the girl nor did I think he had any kids after his first son was killed. I started thinking about the whole situation in the first place because Rhea went through the same thing. She was forced to kill some kid and now that family’s after her. Not wanting to get ahead of myself, but what if Rhea is Alex’s daughter? But if that was true, I would’ve known by now though. “What a minute.” I said out loud to myself. Pulling my phone out and going back to the file of the girl, I take one long look and realize who it is. It was Rhea. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her so maybe that’s why I didn’t recognize her right then. As the elevator doors open, I walk over to where the group of girls are seated, when I spot her holding herself and pacing the floor. When she turns towards me and opens her eyes, my heart aches when I see her eyes glisten from tears. “Rhea.” I said, walking over toward her and pulling her into my arms. “He’s coming after me.” She said in my chest. “Who?” I asked, pulling away to see tears slipping. “Zack Johnson,” She said, pulling away and walking into my office. “What I did was f*****g stupid. I believed Mike when John said that Leo was some f*****g guy who raped girls and killed kids. I f*****g believed them.” “Rhea, why didn’t you tell me that Alex was your father?” “I hate you, you know,” She said with a disgusted look on her face. “You always change serious shit.” “It was just a question because he wants me to marry you as protection.” I said, texting my assistant to tell all the girls to leave. “The whole thing of getting protection was coming here and applying.” “Well, you got the job,” I said, looking through Sophia’s files. “Does that make you happy?” “Very,” She said with sarcasm. “So what can I do first?” “Sit on my desk with your legs open.” I said, without looking up. “I’m not playing, Enzo.” “I wasn’t either.” I said, looking up. Rhea and I’ve been friends ever since my first love was killed. Actually, Rhea was a w***e that made me feel good, but then she moved and got with Mike. Some guy I don’t want to waste my time looking up. When she left, she said that what we were doing wasn’t right because she had feelings for me and I’ll never get over the pain to feel the same for her. Some f*****g rule she made. “Enzo, we-“ “Shut up.” I said, throwing the files to the floor and walking over to her. For a girl who wants to establish rules, she doesn’t move nor stops me and neither do I. I picked Rhea up and placed her on my desk. Opening her legs with my knee. Taking her beauty in, I can’t help but to let my hands roam her body. Not having a care in the world, I immediately rip her clothes as she undoes my belt. Kissing her neck, her small hand finds its way to my happy friend which causes me to remember our last night. The day she left. The day she stole my heart. “Forget it.” She said, pushing me away. “Rhea,” I said, caging her. “I want-“ “Stop lying to me and yourself,” She said, trying to push me. “How would I get with you if you only think of her? Of your first love? That’s all you did and it hurt because I was in love with you and it kills me even more because I still am. It’s even bad enough that you didn’t see me as another one of your whores.” “Because you weren’t, Rhea. You meant something to me. Something-“ “That you haven’t figured out,” She said, holding my face. “You still hurt from her death. You blame yourself and you’re afraid. Afraid that you’ll go weak and break.” “That was because you left,” I said, unbuttoning my shirt. “You hurt me more than her death hurted me,” I said, taking my belt off. “I was able to get over her with you because I fell so f*****g hard for you but you f*****g left,” I said, pulling my pants down where I freed my d**k out. “You stold my heart and you left and that f*****g hurt and to know that you had a boyfriend who f****d you the way you wanted makes me very angry.” “He never f****d me the way you did,” She said, reaching down between us and grabbing me. “He said that what I wanted was too much.” “That’s why you came back,” I whispered as she got off the desk and got on her knees. “For me to f**k you?” “That’s one of the reasons.” She said, taking me in her mouth. Rhea was and still is the only girl that made me feel good. Everything that she did was everything that I needed. The sight of her head moving back and forth on my c**k makes me so weak, that this girl has me struggling to stand. There was and still is something that she means to me but I don’t know what it is. I don’t want a relationship with her just yet but I do love and care for her.
