Chappel

Shakespeare had it wrong, the "question, was never to be, or not to be" but was "to get out of bed or not to get out of bed". She was not a morning person, the bright sunlight was never her friend unless it was for relaxing at the lake, maybe working on her tan. Infact she would rather kayak or even hike under a starry night sky, even better was a full moon. Even as a child her mother would fight with her to get out of bed. Today however she had no choice, she had a meeting with the latest camp host, as the Senior Park Ranger it was her duty to do the meet and greet, and set him up at his cabin. Camp hosts rotated through the national parks every couple of months, they were generally retired and were using the program to see the country with their rv's, showing them around and explaining their duties had to happen before today's check out of 2:00. Today however was different, her supervisor had informed her it was a solo scholar coming and staying in the unused Ranger cabin. He was using the program to move from park to park studying the wolf population. This left her meeting him early this morning, she hated being up before noon. 10:00 a.m. was sheer torture for her. She hated being stuck with daylight duty instead of her beloved night patrols.
