"What?" Isaac's voice shot up, eyes stretching wide as the book in his hands almost slipped.
I stared at him, wishing I wasn't saying this. But the threat was real. My throat felt like it was burning and my lips had gotten so dry from the fear they felt cracked.
"I..." I started, but the words tangled up in my mouth. "Isaac, I- I don't know how to say it right."
My breath came out all wrong, short and choppy. My head was feeling tight, like it wasn't fully connected to my body anymore and my hands were shaking again, but I couldn't stop them.
Isaac stepped closer and touched my shoulder gently. "Hey, Blake. I need you to breathe, okay? Just breathe."
His voice was soft but serious and as ridiculous as I had sounded, he still looked worried, but not panicked.
