‘‘Tell me what's going on between you both!’’ Lucy demanded.
‘‘I've told you there's nothing!’’
‘‘But everything keeps saying something.’’ She insisted strong-headedly, and I gave up, heading for the door.
“Fine. Believe, whatever you want it still won't change anything.”
“You know how much I love him.’’ She mumbled in a juvenile tone.
‘He doesn't even see you!’ I wanted to say, but on a second thought I swallowed it back and walked out.
