Alex’s POV From my vantage point atop the tree branch, among the shrubbery, I could look down and see everything. The blood and c*****e was fairly evident, what with the torn innards and displaced limbs, not to talk of the mauled and mangled corpse lying like a rag doll on the ground. The entire scene reeked of death. Yes, it was all very standard for me. What wasn't standard, however, was the girl, not the woman who stood in the midst of all this death. She didn't look like she had a clue what was going on. However, in fact, she looked just as confused as I was, regarding the entire situation.
