Chapter 39 Silence fell over the clearing as every living thing in the Darkwood waited, unmoving, to see if their Galadhir was lost forever. I clung to my beloved’s hand, hope and anguish tangling in my heart. Then Thorne’s eyelids fluttered. He pulled in a wavering breath and, finally, opened his eyes.
