~ Eleanora's POV ~ A week passed. Then another. Vincenzo did not come to the east wing. He did not knock. He did not send Giulia with food or notes or any of the small gestures I had catalogued over the months. He went to his study in the morning, worked through lunch, appeared at dinner—which I sometimes attended and sometimes did not—and spent his evenings exactly where he always had.
