"Bethany," I whispered, as I engulfed her in a tight hug. It had been too long since I’d seen her last. I felt like a really bad mother who had dumped her child with somebody for a few weeks without any contact and only just returned. Disgruntledly, she hugged me back. I couldn’t blame her for being a bit mad at me, I’d had so much going on that I hadn’t made much time for her or Jex, but they had had each other so I was sure that she couldn’t be too mad, after all I was giving them space.
