Everything happened in slow motion. I felt like I was in a slow paced action movie, at the pinnacle of the plot – where everything was either about to go horribly wrong or horribly right. I burst from the cells as the ground shook and ruptured beneath me. As I was flung forwards I found myself with a mouth full of dirt and the air in my lungs vanished. Pushing myself up, more bombs exploded around me. The ground shook, once again, and shards of glass, rock and brick hurtled through the air. I sprinted towards the house screaming Nathan's name in between coughs and spitting out mouthfuls of dirt.
