As Willa walks for the entrance with confidence and a bright smile, she enters. The receptionist smiles up at her as she approaches the desk. “Good morning, Stephanie!” She beamed.  “Good morning! You remembered my name?” It surprised Stephanie. “Of course, I am very good with names,” Willa admits, and Stephanie smiled. “Mr. Kade called me about giving you a position here, and I am happy to get you started. He will be in later today. Come with me. I’ll show you to your desk,” She waves for Willa to follow her back towards Mr. Kade’s office, stopping at a desk that is right outside his office. “Here you go. This is your desk. You are Mr. Kade’s new assistant,” she declared, motioning for Willa to have a seat. “Okay, so for now, until Mr. Kade gets in, just file these and let me know when you finish, and I’ll find something else for you to do,” Stephanie puts a large pile of files on the desk and Willa nods with a smile, enthusiastic for her first job. Willa spent a few hours filing all the folders when she finished and headed for Stephanie’s desk. When she ran into a handsome man with stunning ocean eyes. As he looks her over, he rubs his hand through his beard, then speaks. “Hello,” the man said, eyeing her once again. “It’s not my birthday, but I will accept a lap dance from you, lovely.” He grins.  Suddenly the man takes a slap on the back of his head, almost knocking his eyes out of his sockets, then Silas appears from around him. “She is my assistant, not a toy,” Silas growled. The man turned to Silas with a peeved expression. “Just having a little fun, boss,” He retorted. Silas returned his gaze to the man. “Not with her, you won’t,” He said between clenched teeth. The man simply bowed his head, nodding. “Follow me, Willa” Silas waves her over, and she follows him but turns back to the other man, puzzled. What the hell was that? She thought to herself, but continued to follow Silas. Silas opens the door to his office, allowing Willa to enter first. She steps in, coming to the chair. He comes to his desk, looking Willa over. “Have a seat” He gestures to the chair. A small smile forms on her lips and she takes his offering. “Mr. Kade, I want to apologize for last night. I didn’t know Myles was bringing company. I act like that” Her cheeks blush as she remembers him staring at her in the lingerie. He smiles but seductively. “No need to apologize. I didn’t mind the view.” His eyes land on her chest, and her breath hitches in her throat. She clears her throat, bringing Silas out of his stupor. “I thought you had a flight yesterday to Paris. What happened?” Willa asked. “It got canceled,” He vaguely explained. She placed her hands on her lap, rubbing her knees nervously. “Do I make you nervous?” He moved forward, placing elbows on the desk, peering at Willa questionably. Willa looked down at her shaky hands and stopped her fidgeting. “No, Mr. Kade,” She responded.  “Please call me Silas” He smiled, standing from his chair, and power emanates from him. As Willa stares at him, biting her lip, not knowing she was doing it. He smirks, walking over to her, planting both his hands on each side of the chair and leaning into her, getting inches away from her face. She swallows hard as her core burns and her legs clench together, almost letting a moan escape her lips but catch herself. Her breaths are heavy and her heart beats out of her chest. “I can hear your heart beating from here. I make you nervous,” He whispers and his warm breath sends chills down her spine. “Ye... yes,” she stutters, and he backs away. “I have to fly to Paris tonight, so I need you to pack your bags. I will have my car pick you up before the flight,” He said as he walked to the window looking out. Willa gets to her feet. “Sir, I can’t leave my kids.” Silas spins, facing her again. “I will talk to Myles. He can figure things out but you need to understand working for me as my assistant means traveling,” He declared. “Okay, I will tell Myles,” she said, then started for the door. “Willa?” She faced him again. “Yes?” “I will tell Myles,” He added. “See you tonight” then he turned back to the window. Willa says no more and leaves his office. She comes to Stephanie at her desk, closing out her computer and grabbing her things. “Hey, I’ll walk you to your car,” Stephanie said, making her way over. “Okay, yeah” Willa answered, and they both walked out the door. “Willa, my friends are getting together at the pub down the street want to come?” She asked. “Um... I should get home, the kids need dinner,” Willa returned with a sad smile. “One drink? Please!” Stephanie begged. “Okay” Willa laughed “I’ll follow you” She added. Stephanie nodded and went to get into her car. Willa stood by her car for a moment, feeling eyes on her. She looked around frantically but no one was there, then she looked to the building, finding Silas still looking out his office window and his eyes were on her. Stephanie pulled up, bringing Willa out of the staring contest with Silas. “You ready?” Willa nodded, walking to her car, stopping when she opened the door, looking up to where Silas was seconds ago. But he is no longer there. She gets in, taking off behind Stephanie. Once at the pub Willa and Stephanie walk in, meeting her friends at a table in the back. “Hey guys, this is Willa she just started today at my job” Willa waves to all of them. “Hey John, can we get a round over here!” Stephanie shouts to the bartender, and he nods. They take their seats and a girl to her right smiles, holding out her hand. “Hey, I’m Marley” Willa smiles back, gripping Marley’s hand. “Nice to meet you” The bartender brings tequila shots for the entire table, and Willa’s eyes grow wide. “Um, I’m not sure I should drink this heavily. I have to be on a plane in like 2 hours.” She stated, and they all laughed. “Come on, have a little fun,” a guy says across the table. “Zach, don’t push her if she doesn’t want to,” Stephanie said, then she turns to Willa. “So, going to Paris?” She asked. “Yeah, that is what Mr. Kade said anyway,” Willa replied. “Girl, you are so lucky. Every girl in that office has dreamed of going away with that man, but they wouldn’t go for business more for pleasure.” Stephanie laughed. “I’m married, so I’m not interested.” Willa smiled awkwardly. The guy from across the table voices his opinion. “Nothing wrong with a married woman having some fun” He winked at Willa and she ignored his gesture picking up the shot glass and downing it. “DAMN!!” The table cheered. Several shots later, Willa is feeling it and having fun when her phone rings. She pulls it out of her purse to see Myles calling. She rolled her eyes and answered. “He... Hello?” She slurred, giggling a bit. “Are you f*****g drunk?” Myles shouted, and she pulled the phone from her ear. “Geez, you don’t have to yell,” Willa sneered. “She is drunk,” Myles says to someone. “Where are you?” Myles demands. “Why would I tell you, you’re a lying, cheating scumbag that hasn’t f****d his wife in over 6 years because he says he’s too tired but he can f**k Marlowe no problem,” Willa laughed. Willa turns to Stephanie. “Stephanie, this bastard thinks he deserves to know where I am,” she huffs, then turns her attention back to her phone. “f**k OFF MYLES!!!” she shouts and hangs up. Not even a minute after she hung up her phone, Stephanie’s phone buzzes. “Hello?” She answered, then looked over to Willa. “Yes Sir, we are at the pub that the company has parties at sometimes.” “Stephanie, who are you talking to?” Willa asked, trying to grab the phone, but she jerked it away, ending the call. “Come on, Willa,” Stephanie said, grabbing for Willa’s hand to pull her outside, but Willa ripped her hand away. “NO! Zach said I need to have fun,” She giggled, then grabbed another shot off the tray, quickly downing it before Stephanie could take it from her. Zach cheers. “HELL YEAH!” “Shut up!” A familiar voice growled at Zach and his lips zipped quicker than a racehorse winning first place. Willa turned around to find Silas standing behind her. Stephanie sighed. “I told you we should go.” “Come on, Willa we have a flight to catch” He uses his finger to call her but when she doesn’t budge, he picks her up from her chair-throwing her over his shoulder, then walks away as she kicks and screams hitting his back while the whole pub watches in surprise.
