“Here you go, dad!” I placed a cup of coffee on his desk. “Watch out. It’s hot.”
My dad turned on his lamp and closed his laptop to face me. He was still crazy, but he looked a lot better than he did two weeks ago. “You’re in a good mood.” He smiled. “Why are you all dressed up? Aren’t you going to bed?”
I spun around to show him my outfit and made a pose. “I’m going out with Rona, don’t wait up for me.”
He shrugged and took a sip from his coffee. “You deserve to have fun.” He spoke. It took a lot to gain back his trust, but I had somehow managed to do it. The poor man thought I had cut off all contact with Marvin, and I did not feel bad for lying to him.
I wasn’t the issue, and I didn’t do anything wrong, dad and Alex did.
