Chapter Thirty-FiveA short while later, Alan left the ward and hurried down the stairs leading to the ground floor. Though she was trying to help with the case, Sandra had only repeated what Agnes had already told him while they were at the hotel earlier.
By now, Alan was on the ground floor. Glancing towards the large windows, he could see police officers pulling aside any man wearing a dark coloured suit. But then it struck him. The man they were looking for was too clever to walk out of the hospital wearing the very same suit. He would have changed into something totally different before leaving the hospital.
