The night air was crisp against my skin as I stepped out of Grayson Enterprises' towering headquarters. The glass panels of the skyscraper reflected the city lights and was a shimmering testament to the empire I had built. Normally, I’d take a moment to appreciate it—the sheer magnitude of what I had accomplished—but tonight, my mind was too tangled and too restless for it.
