As I waited for AIex to come back, my nerves were on edge as I sat on the edge of the bed with my back pressed against the headboard even as I was wrapped in nothing but a soft duvet. My fingers kept fiddling with the edge of the sheets as my eyes darted toward the doorway he had exited through minutes ago at least every thirty seconds.
