When I woke up, it was with a dull ache that was spreading across my forehead and pressing against my skull like it was going to kill me. My limbs felt heavy and sluggish and it was as if I had been swimming through mud all night instead of sleeping.
I groaned softly and rubbed my temple while I willed the headache away. But the moment I sat up, a wave of exhaustion crashed over me and made my body feel twice as weak.
Oh God, I thought as panic stirred in my chest.
