People tend to fall with the most unexpected person and it happens when you least expect it. Have you met your angel? I met mine. She fell from heaven lighting up the dark night sky. I have seen this exact scene a million times already—yet, every time it felt like the first one. She flew at me at me with rage and I knew very well why. Her white wings fluttered, echoing through the silence. I had lived through the exact same night over and over for a million time. That dark soul said to me that heaven would welcome her through the skies again if only there was a sacrifice. A being who cannot die and cannot live, what purpose is their left. She roamed the Earth since the dawn of humanity to search for a purpose until a thousand, millions, maybe billions of years she met a reason—a reason to a meaningless never ending life. At first glance I already fell for her. Clearly, I was drawn to her angelic beauty. Took the first move, dated her, proposed to her, and then married her. For 15 years we spent together we traveled the world, we laughed together, enjoyed together, cried together, faced through problems together and just about everything. But even love, no matter how strong, cannot fight eternity. Her wings began to fade one morning. The white feathers that once shimmered with divine light turned gray, then black — it was death claiming her piece by piece. She tried to hide it from me, but I knew. I always knew. I had seen this scene before. Every time, I told myself I’d change the ending. That I’d find a way to save her. That this time would be different. But the dark thing’s words always echoed back: “Heaven will welcome her again — if there is a sacrifice.” So I made my choice. A life for a life, Soul for a soul, My eternity for yours. If it meant she could live, if it meant her wings could shine again, then I would gladly fade into the dark for her. On the night of the final dawn, as the sky bled red and gold, she looked at me with tears that shimmered like broken stars. “You always do this,” she whispered. And for the last time, I smiled. “Because even if I forget everything else… I’ll still remember loving you.” Then the light took her, and the world fell silent once again. I dont want to go, but for you I would When the light faded, the world was quiet. The storm had passed, the sky calm once more — but he was gone. All that remained was a single white feather resting in my hand. Heaven’s gates opened for her at last. The dark thing kept its word — she was free to return, free to soar above the clouds once more. Yet her heart… was unbearably heavy. In heaven, they called her blessed. They said her wings shone brighter than ever, her grace unmatched. But every time she looked down upon the earth, a strange ache stirred in her chest — a hollow emptiness she couldn’t explain. Sometimes, when the winds brushed her cheeks, it felt warm — like someone was still reaching out for her. Years passed. Centuries. Millennia. And then, one day, as she descended to watch over the living once more, she saw him. Not the same man — at least, not in body. But in his eyes, that same gentle light burned. The same smile, the same soul. He looked up at her without knowing why his heart hurt every slightest second of looking at her. Maybe there was still a chance to bring back things to what it was. Their love continued, Loved again, Married again. No more what ifs. No more lingering regrets. She gave up heaven for the world where he was. . . . . . . . . . . At least in her imagination that was what she did. The dark soul did not let her do so as it would break the contract between it and the man. And it would simply not let her do so. She watched him from afar, as she always did. Lifetime after lifetime, she descended, drawn to the same soul she could never truly reach. He lived, loved, and died — always without remembering her. Stuck in a never ending loop — unable to die, unable to live. And she watched, cursed to see everything, cursed to remember everything. This time was no different. When their eyes met under the fading sunset, her heart trembled. He smiled — that same warm, familiar smile — and said softly, “Have we met before?” Her breath caught in her throat. She wanted to tell him everything — the lifetimes, the sacrifices, the love that tore heaven apart — but she couldn’t. Because if she did, he would remember… and remembering would kill him. So she smiled instead, holding back the tears. “No,” she whispered. “We haven’t.” He laughed softly, rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s strange. It feels like I’ve known you forever.” The wind blew between them, carrying the faint sound of wings. And as she turned to leave, a single feather fell from her hand — landing quietly at his feet. That night, she watched from above as he picked it up and smiled, whispering words that tore her heart apart. “I hope I meet her again someday.” He said. He did not want to die, he wanted to live, but he died for her. She wanted to die, but she lived for him. She closed her eyes, trembling. The stars blurred. The curse reset. Tomorrow, he would be gone to live the same thing over and over again — never ending death in exchange for a never ending life. Because love and eternal was never meant to be.
