The last men fell as Laurain punched him in his gut.
"16 minutes" C5 informed through the earpiece.
They were in a difficult situation. The special forces will be here in 16 minutes while people were coming from the backside as well. If they get caught it will be a blunder. It will blow up their cover.

Laurain shot at the big lock on the door. The children must be in that room. She continued to shoot at the hinges of the door.

She threw the g*n away as the bullets finished. She then kicked the door heavily a few times before it opened as the hinges became loose.
But.
There was no one in the room.
"Damn it." Laurain cursed but still went in.
"Take those people and leave." She ordered.
She went to every corner of the room and knocked at every wall at different places. She wanted to make sure if the place was truly empty or not.
"But.."
"Leave. The situation will get more chaotic if you don't." Laurain ordered.
She didn't leave a corner which she didn't search.
"10 minutes remaining," C5 informed.
Everyone took a deep breath.
"People are coming from the backside. 20 meters away." W3 informed.
"Take them and Leave," Laurain said and took out her g*n and shot at the corner of the left side of the right wall. She then kicked there and one by one the bricks started to fell.
"Bastards" she was raged and disgusted at the same time.
A narrow path opened and she hurriedly went in. After running for a kilometer she came across ten people who have pointed the guns in her direction and there were more than a hundred girls and children who were chained down sitting in a corner.
Before they could shoot at her.
Laurain didn't even blink and put a bullet right in their heads.
"5 minutes are remaining boss. We can see them approaching. We are ready to leave at any moment. Waiting for your order. OVER." C5 informed.
Their breath got stuck in their throats.
They have taken those lowly thugs and were ready to leave. But their boss was still inside. People were approaching from both sides. They didn't want to leave but they can't disobey their boss's order.
Laurain looked at the haggard children and girls. She pointed her in their direction and all of them closed their eyes and flinched in their places, waiting for her to kill them. They were so afraid.
Laurain gritted her teeth and shot at the chain locked with the wall. All of their feet were chained with a chain with each other and then to the wall.
"How many people?" She asked.
"Eleven cars of the special forces and more than seventy people are coming from behind." C5 updated.
"Time?"
C5 gulped and informed.
"2 minutes 45 seconds."
"Leave immediately," Laurain ordered and cut off the connection.
C5 looked at the screen as the dot showing Laurain's position disappeared. She cut off the connection.
They looked at the building and immediately disappeared in the dark night taking all the thugs with them.
"Come on we have to hurry." Laurain hurried them to the exit.
But something was missing.
They must have already reached downstairs. Just as all of them came out of the roomygg.
The firing started.
The police and the attackersy have reached.
Laurain looked at the children who were shivering from fear.
But a sudden thought clicked in her mind.
The Mayor's Daughter.
"Where is the daughter of Mayor?" Laurain asked looking at them. Thinking she might be one of them.
"Is the Mayors daughter here?" She asked again.
But no one said anything.
"I'm here to save you not harm you."
"The mayors daughter is she here."
"No" a little guy replied.
Laurain turned to him.
"No?" She asked.
"They took someone with them........a girl" a girl said.
Laurain gritted her teeth. She doesn't have time. She looked down through the window. The police were firing at the masked people. She looked towards the children.
She had to check all the floors for any sign of the mayor's daughter she might be present in the building.
"Come on lets go down. Pick up these things they might come in handy." Laurain pointed towards the hammers and bats and different tools scattered on the floor.
They then went downstairs. They picked the tools scattered their also.
"Listen children, carefully, I want all of you to go and check every room here. Ok. Any hidden rooms like the one you guys were in. Also ten children stay here and keep eyes downstairs. If you see any person coming in call me immediately."
Laurain herself went to search all the rooms. The floor was empty. Laurain herself checked all rooms again and then they went downstairs.
"Does any of you know how to use a g*n?" She asked they were now on the 4th floor. It will be difficult if the enemy entered the building at this moment.
"I...I...I..think..I..know..how..to...."
A boy of nearly 13 years told.
Laurain scrutinized him from top to bottom.
He was a short, skinny boy. Although he was covered in dirt but laurain believed that he came from a middle-class family.
She undid the shoulder strap and took off her bulletproof vest went on her knee and made the boy wear it looking directly in his eyes.
She wanted to confirm if he is brave enough to use a g*n.
How can a child be not afraid and anxious in such a situation?
"Someone is coming inside.." A child came running towards laurain. That broke the staring contest.
Not contest but her scrutinizing gaze which was making the poor boy practically squirm was shifted elsewhere.
Laurain handed her g*n to the boy
"You just need to pull the trigger, hold the g*n tightly with both hands"
She went behind him and put her hands on his thin arms and positioned his hands straight forward.
"Shoot directly at the head. If you don't shoot you'll die. Don't think. Be brave. Hold the g*n tightly so that it would not backfire. Hide behind a wall not a wooden table. Don't let anyone near you."
She commanded the boy in her hard tone. Still standing behind him.
She went in front of him and looked at the boy.
"Remember you need to live and save your friends as well."
Her hands automatically went to caress his cheek.
"Be Brave, You can do it. I will not let anything happen to any of you."
she would never have thought that she will encourage someone one day. Then again it was with these children that she felt a connection with. The little bit of humanity she had were for them.
