LUNCH BREAK
“You guys are going to look cute I’m not going to lie.” I tell them both, back at the phone and then at their eager smiling faces, swallowing my chuckle of amusement. They gush at the compliment; Haley grabs her phone back and gushes over the sparkly pink dress.
“You really think so?” Kim asks, her lower lip caught between her teeth. She bites down nervously, shaking her head. The light blue curls bounce up and down.
“What’s wrong Kim? You don’t like the blue dress? If you want something else, just say the word and we can find something we both like.” Haley offers. She also notices Kim’s fidgeting.
“No no no please, I like the dress, I think it looks good but I don’t know.” Kim shrugs lightheartedly.
