Chapter 38

1249 Words

The rest of the weekend goes off in a blur. I spend my afternoons daydreaming and staring out the window at passing cars and dogs racing down the street. Now, I totally get when mother says ‘your head is in the clouds’ because that is exactly how I feel now. To add to my list of problems, Haley and Kim have been blowing up my phone all weekend and arrest me for dodging their texts and calls. I did text them that I was fine and would see them on Monday though. The days fly by quickly. I saw my mother briefly on Sunday morning before she rushed out of the house for a quick meeting. By the time she came back, I was already out like a light and I did not see her come in, I saw her car in the driveway on Monday when I was driving out to school. Up bright and early, I barely slept all night.
