08: Forest of Forbidden Snakes

Artemis

“Are you sure that this is the way?” Althea's asked while cutting the bush that we are going because we used the other way to go with her, and sadly, Medusa is living with the forbidden forest like the Sniperia, which is her neighborhood.

What a lovely place for snakes.

“Hey, you come here!” She shouted, while her finger is pointed at Theseus that is busy with what he is doing; well, to be honest, he is just holding the bag of Althea, and I could say that he isn't a DemiGod but a slave of the daughter of Athena.

“Goddess Althea, what is it?” He asked and gulping, I can sense that he is scared in Althea. What do they fear? Instead, she is holding something against them, but that is possible because the Academy is about competitiveness that I loved the most. Being compete with others, God will know who is the best to all of us, and I always at the top with hunting; no one can win against me.

“Are you sure, Artemis, about getting their help? If Zeus finds out that we are getting help in DemiGods, he will degrade us in the hall that I don't want to experience again. Duh!” He complains that irritates my ears; if they want to wake up in their dreams then, they should respect what I did for them.

Well, they can't do anything about it. I feel pity for Apollo because I know Zeus will not get this part of his hands and will give him a punishment wherever he is.

“Just shut up, Hermes. I know what I'm doing, and besides, don't you want to deliver the message again in the new affair of Zeus?” I asked that makes him turn around to me like I said something terrible. Did I?

“I don't want to go in Sphere of Mortals again, it's suffocating me there, and the thing is, I see the affair of Zeus that have tons of gold that she is boasting with their neighborhood that makes my blood boil and I did something terrible to her,” He said that makes me curious about that. What did he do to the Mortal? Well, even I want to do something terrible with the affair of Zeus, I don't have the right to punish her because we are prohibited from making things against them.

“What is it?” I whispered to him; therefore, the DemiGods can't hear what we are talking about while they are busy cutting bushes in front of us.

“Just a little thing, I trade her gold into a pot that I said that would give her anything she wants, and guess what, after I give the letter to her, she started to read it, and that's the time I escaped. Unfortunately, Zeus knows about what I did and punished me in Del for ten days. What favoritism!” He exclaimed which makes both of us laugh in his story. Well, I don't think that woman is that innocent and doesn't know the difference between magical pot to ordinary ones.

“Can you get my wand, ah?” Althea's asked that makes me replied with a curious tone, how this woman gets a wand? I just know that the wizards only have this because they are buying this to the personalized shop of the Academy.

“Did you steal that wand?” I inquired her while Theseus just get it inside her bag that it's not new for him either.

“Why should I?” She said with a confident tone that makes me mad. Stealing is prohibited in the Academy, and it isn't a good thing to be seen by the Counsel because they will punish them for sure.

“Well, give me that wand or else!” I yelled at her, but she just gave me an annoying look that makes me furious when Perseus stops both of us.

“Can you stop the both of you? She is a hybrid, Goddess Artemis. Her wand is from her Dad because she is attending a two-class, which is the Wizardry and Half, and don't doubt your niece,” Perseus defended her, make me madder, and started to wield her bows and arrows that make them gasp.

“Okay, stop that, Artemis. We aren't here to fight the half-ones, and Perseus don't ever say a word with Artemis again,” Hermes said but, I pretended that I don't hear anything and point my bow with Althea that is smiling.

How can she have the audacity to smile even she is risking her life?

“Artemis, you want to kill me that much? Then, do it now!” She screamed, and I release my arrow that all of us get panic and a shield of water protects her from my golden arrow. I get it now because we are here in front of the cave of Sniperia; their body has a shield; that's why they said to get their help.

“Now, you get it, ah?” She asked that makes me get back my weapon and started to enter, and they are following me. No one dares to talk because of what I did when suddenly, someone hissed in my ears. “Who is it?” I asked and started to closed my eyes because the snake is known as turning you like a stone but, the Sniperia will shoot you when your eyes are opened because they are cursed too which makes our mission to do.

Where could we find the Nine Voices of the Muses? Think faster, Artemis. Where are they hidden in their vault?

“What all of you are doing in our cave? You want to steal things from us hiss?” One of the snakes said in my ears, and it's annoying how she hissed in my ears makes me want to take his tongue cut off.

“I want the Nine Voices of the Muses, where I will get it? Tell me!” I said, but they all just laugh, and I could say there are three of them with this cave. What should I do to make them attack each other?

“The Sniperia that have golden hair have a special letter from God because you're beautiful, and the two are ugly ones,” Hermes said which makes me smiled. What a good idea he has, I thought he was always joking around, but now, he is beneficial.
