With the rise of the technological covergence which includes the development of social media and other networking sites, transport of information has become speedy like how a supersonic performs. For instance, news about a certain crime can be disseminated fast through social media platforms, websites most specifically through f*******:. The food you eat, the photos you post can reach millions of people all over the world even in just a snap of your finger.
However, this technological advancement that allows information to travel fast can bring both benefits and disadvantages to the people.
Yes, the blistering force of the team- media and information, has been an essential tool for us to know what's happening around the globe. Through citizen journalism where netizens or ordinary people can be journalists and report anything, we became more aware on the current issues and events. For example, a sudden fire coerced the next village. Such occurence can reach the authorities and do some rescues even a single minute. Another, government officials with graft and corruption cases can be widely known through news and different media. f*******: posts proliferate. Netizens actively participates in whatsoever topics being discussed in any websites.
On the contrary, such advantage serves as a great threat to human.
Of course, with this blazing fast transfer of information from the sender can cause several crimes to exist. For instance, you posted that you have just received your salary or you have a lot of money. Huh. This is an opportunity for the criminals to butt in. Poor victim.
Another hilarious effect of the outraging power of media and information affects family reputations and relationships. For instance, you posted or innitiated a quarrel towards someone. Such thing can trigger a lot of TROLLS to interfere. These trolls are netizens who are fond of intermeddling conversations "para may masabi lang" which isn't right. Thus, making the situation become even worse than before resulting to wars and the breakdown of relationships and reputation.
What is being pointed out is that despite of the great benefits mentioned on the later part, there exist a more proliferated bad effects. But, do you know who's creating this disadvantages? It's us, human- the users. We became abusive, opportunistic and we overuse media usage.
However, it's not yet too late. We are all have the responsibility and we must do our part. The following tips can help:
1. BE CAREFUL ON WHAT TO POST. This does not only pertains to posting but also includes being careful on what to share and what to comment. We nees to be conscious whether such thing deserves to be posted or not.
2. AVOID BEING A TROLL. As mentioned, a troll as a nonsense interferer. If you think you're not a part of the conversation and you're not being mentioned in, then back off. It's better to be silent if you're just going to join the conversation for the sake of making the situation become more even worse.

We cannot control every situation. However, through proper mindset and using the superego or our conscience we can at least lessen the deadful effects of the abuse of information and media. Above all, being responsible is being a HUMAN and if you are a human then be a responsible citizen in using whatever advancement the world has for you to enjoy more it's great effect.
Technological improvements are created to benefit us all not to harm anybody. They are made for convenience not for disgraces. It's us, the users, who provoke the technology to kill us slowly! Be a responsible netizen NOW- not TOMORROW but right now! Come to scrutinize such thing!
