I groaned, the pain dull against the calming effect that was surrounding me. It was dark… but serene. I felt okay with the slight aches in my body with… them. Seth was near me, I could sense his body near me and cuddling me close. It helped me be able to tolerate the pain.
“I hope you feel okay, Xavier. The pack doctor here said you’re healing very fast now.” Seth’s soft voice spoke, making me feel even more at ease. “There’s a lot of drama going on with your cousin- she found her dad, and she started asking questions about everything so… Ryder told her flat out about us being wolves.”
I somehow managed a frown. I could hear Seth chuckle, “Yeah, I knew you’d be upset about that. He was pretty harsh about it too-”
