I’m sitting here twiddling my thumbs. My phone goes off, I have a message from an unknown number. I open it and quickly realise who it is from.
Good morning Ariah
Meet me at Grange Hill Farm at 10:30, we will go in my car to our destination. I really do hope you decide to come. Either way, I will be waiting.
Your friend, Ryder.
I roll my eyes at the ‘friend’ bit, he couldn’t just leave that out could he. But I am also smiling, my heart it’s bursting. I’m glad Zoey gave him my number, although I would never admit that to her.
“We are going right” Angie catches my attention.
“Do you think it’s a good idea?” I ask her.
“He said no one will see us so why not. Just once and if you decide not to ever go near him again, I won’t argue back” she pleads.
“Fine” I sigh.
I can’t really argue with that. I have to give him this last chance for Angie’s sake. She is constantly pining to be with him, and purring when he is close to me. If it means she will never argue back with me again when it comes to Ryder, I’ll go.
Hello Alpha
I might see you there
Ariah
I reply.
Angie looks unimpressed with my response.
“We are going Ang, but we have to keep him on his toes” I tell my wolf.
“That’s okay then. I like your way of thinking” she smiles showing her teeth.
————————
It’s 10 o’clock. I feel nerves running through me as I get into my car and tap Grange Hill into my GPS. 23 minutes away, not too long. I start the engine and head off to my destination.
25 minutes later due to a little traffic, I arrive at Grange Hill Farm. I see Ryder’s car parked under the trees that surround the entrance gate, I pull up and park beside him.
I take a deep breath as I step out of my car and make my way round to Ryder’s car. He leans forward and smiles, waving for me to get in.
“I’m so glad you came” Ryder says as I get into the car “I didn’t think you would”
“I didn’t think I would either” I say honestly.
“What made you decide to come?” He asks.
“I thought a day out of the pack house would be a nice change” I lie “so, where are we going?”
“It’s a surprise”
“I hate surprises”
“You will like this one” he winks at me starting the engine and turning left, away from the city.
We drive for 15 minutes in silence. Ryder looks over to me as much as he can, but I face the window.
“We’re here”
“Where’s here?” I ask.
All I can see is a little cottage in the middle of nowhere surrounded by trees and what looks like a Forrest at the back of the building. There are no other houses around, thinking about it, I haven’t seen any other building in the last 5 minutes of the drive.
“It’s my Grandmothers cottage” he smiles “she left it to me when she passed away. I come here to clear my head, it’s my get away if the pack house becomes too much”.
I look at the cottage. The thought of being on my own with Ryder, no one else around puts me on edge. Ryder must of sensed my unease.
“I’m not going to hurt you” he reassures me “relax. I said we would spend time together where no one would see us, so here we are”.
I try to smile at him. Showing him I’m not afraid. Of course I was. Ryder either didn’t pick up on it or choose to ignore it as he got out of the car, opened my door and grabbed my hand to follow him. The tingle on my skin made me feel calm all of a sudden. I looked deep into his eyes. As much as I dreaded being alone with him, somehow, I know he is honest when he says he would never hurt me.
I step out of the car, not breaking eye contact, letting him usher me to the little cottage in front of us. He unlocks the door and holds it open for me to step inside. I smile as I walk through the door, taking in my surroundings. It’s an old looking cottage from the outside, but inside, it is fresh and modern. It was a lot bigger than it looked from the outside.
“Come though” he walks me through the cottage to the back door.
We step out of the door which leads to the beginning of a Forrest. To the left of the garden lays a picnic blanket with the most delicious food and a bottle of wine placed on top.
“Are you hungry?” Ryder asks as he sits down on the blanket, tapping next to him for me to sit down.
“Sure” I sit next to him “the food looks amazing. How did you do all this?”
“I have my ways” he winks.
I roll my eyes at him. I’m sure he only winks at me because he knows how it affects me.
He passes me a plate and tells me to dig in. I place some sandwiches and strawberries on my plate as he passes me a glass of wine.
“You trying to get me drunk” I tease.
He smirks at me, not answering the question.
“It’s so peaceful here” I say as I close my eyes, letting the sun glow on my face.
“It is one of my favourite places to be. I’ve never brought anyone here before” he admits.
I open my eyes to see him staring down at me, I smile at him not knowing what to say.
“Wanna go for a run” he asks.
“Yes I want to play with Riley” Angie shouts to me.
“Sure” I smile at Ryder.
He stands up and takes of his shirt. I can’t help but let my eyes roam down at his abs. He has a body to die for thats for sure.
He stands there grinning at me, fully aware I am ogling him.
Kill me!
“Like what you see?”
“Shut up” I feel my face burning with embarrassment.
He laughs at me as he pulls down his pants to reveal his n***d body.
My eyes nearly pop out of my head when I see his manhood pointing at me. He’s huge!
My face goes even brighter, if that’s at all possible and I feel between my leg’s twitch.
I look up to his face to see his grin even bigger than it was before, even his eyes have changed colour. I put my head down and look at the grass.
“Your turn” he teases.
I stand up and look at him as our eyes meet.
“Turn around” I raise my eyebrows.
He laughs but does as I say.
I take off my T-shirt, b*a, jeans and underwear, hiding myself as best I can in case he turns for a sneaky look. Thankfully, he doesn’t.
I haven’t shifted since my birthday and although I feel slightly worried about the pain, I’m also very excited to run free again.
‘Here goes nothing’ I think to myself as I let Angie take control and shift.
Surprisingly, there wasn’t any pain. It was so quick I wouldn’t of felt it if there was.
I walk towards Ryder in my full wolf form and nudge his legs.
He turns around to face me and gasps.
“Wow! Your white” he looks confused “your wolf is absolutely beautiful”.
I’m glad he can’t see my face right now because he would see how embarrassed I am at the fact he’s staring at me.
He quickly shifts into Riley.
I’ve never seen a wolf as big as his before. Riley is all black with piercing blue eyes like Ryder and towers over me.
Riley nibbles on Angie’s ear then runs off into the woods.
Angie runs after him. I will give it to my wolf, she is fast. She catches up with him quickly, nudging him playfully as she runs along side him.
Again, I feel so free with the twigs snapping under my paws. This is an amazing feeling. The wind gushing through my fur as I pick up my pace.
Riley tackles us to the ground and pins Angie to the floor. He licks her face as she beams with excitement.
I would never be able to take this away from Angie, it wouldn’t be fair to her. Her and Riley seem so happy together.
He lets me go and runs further into the wood. I run after him as Angie nips at Riley’s tail.
We stop when we come to a lake with an amazing waterfall.
Ryder shifts back to himself.
“Wanna go for a swim” he asks “shift back”.
He turns around and I do as he asked.
“I don’t have any clothes” I reply to him.
“Don’t worry. I won’t look at you until your covered in the water”
I don’t know what I’m thinking right now because this really isn’t like me at all but I run past him and jump into the lake. The warm water cooling me off.
This is a disaster waiting to happen I’m sure.
